Wonderful week on Marco Island

A great holiday in a fully equipped home with so much provided from washing liquid to bikes from beach chairs to a private pool. The island has all you need for food and entertainment and the Werner home is a great jumping off point for anything you might want to do or see in the Everglades region. If you can tear yourself away from the pool the beach is a mere 5 minutes away and there are numerous restaurants within walking distance. We visited Miami to see a MLB game, and took the bikes to Shark Valley for the alligator bike ride! We also visited the Palm Beach Dinner theatre at Fort Myer for Funny Girl. All of it was great fun but it was so nice to return to Beachcomber and enjoy the pool and a glass of wine. Thank you to Rob and Shauna for keeping in contact with us before and during the holiday and special thanks for allowing us to use your home for an all too short period. If we can get back to Marco some day this is where we would want to stay. Many thanks.

Perfect location

Going to Marco Island is one of our favorite vacation. The house was perfect for our family summer break. It was clean. The patio area had plenty of room for all of us to hang out. The pool was clean and warm. The beach is right around the corner and the house had chairs, coolers, bikes and wagons. We enjoyed our week!

About the host

Shauna and Rob Werner live in Salisbury Mass. We love to sneak away to Marco Island as often as possible. We operate a non-profit company that helps to fund food pantry's and home heating assistance programs in New England (www.leewardfoundation.org).

Why they chose this property

This home has been our family since 1979. My parents loved Marco Island and so do we. Once they were gone, we couldn't bring ourselves to sell the property so we totally renovated it and added a pool. Renting it helps us offset the costs of ownership. We use it as often as possible.

Beautiful quite street, two blocks from the public beach entrance next to the Madera. Open and airy layout with three bedrooms two baths and a brand new pool. Walk or bike to the beach, shopping, restaurants and bars.
