One month stay in Omis
We were picked up at the airport by a taxi service recommended by the owners of the Omiis home. We arrived on Saturday evening and the taxi driver helped us to find the grocery store. The house was very comfortable with more than ample supplies of sheets and towels, and kitchenware. There were 6 adults in our party and we all enjoyed the lovely old town and the view of the river. We were there long enough to meet some of the local people who we found to be very friendly and helpful. Miriam had made arrangements with the tourist agency to help us as well as the caretaker. We took a trip upriver with Evan and we saw him most days. We asked him to take us to the airport when we returned and he was delighted. The house was super, the people were super and the weather cooperated most days. It was a wonderful month for us all.

Nature, Nightlife, Beaches and Tennis
Beautiful home, in the center of hip, medieval town Croatian town with rich history (Pirates!). Great restaurants and markets for fresh food, just steps outside the front door. hiking up beautiful mountain along the river is 200 meters away. nice, clean beaches abound. overall, great Med/Adriatic experience. Way better than the Riviera at a fraction of the price.

Omis is a jewel!
We had the privilege of staying here in 2013 and loved it! Lots of bedrooms for our large family (four children) and in a great town…we loved Omis! Omis has the friendliest, most hospitable people we’ve met in Europe. And we loved being so close to Split, another amazing Croatian city. Highly recommended!

We are expats from NYC , a multi ethical & cultural family living in Croatia since 2003. Being both Tomo and myself active in the entertainment industry for years, Omis became our ' quiete haven' while still living in NYC , when we would spend the summer school vacation months in Omis/ Split.
We have travelled and still are, around the world, but always spend 4 weeks a year In Omis.
Its natural beauty is un paralleled!

While others love it to go out party , Brac & Hvar rule the European party scene, but for us it is total recovery mode before school and work season starts in september.

Why they chose this property

This house has been in my husbands Dalmatian side of the family for generations. Annually family reunions, a family vacation a place to reset your batteries or simply just save haven to recover from the hectic city lights. Omis is just that, but with the convenient big city and bright lights near enough when Peace and Quiet becomes too much....

What makes this property unique

After vacationing in Omis since 1999, we are still mesmerized by the incredible scenery in this region. The mountains look painted on to the sky, while the fresh evening river breeze makes AC unnecessary the sky behind the Rive and Sea. It is so surreal and the scenery seems taken from a fairy tail picture book.
We decided in 2012 to renovate the house to add some luxury to this perfect home for additional enjoyment and extended stays. We will always spend the last 2 weeks of August in our amazing beach house.
