2nd time renting this beach cottage
Me and my family love this beach cottage! We had rented it back in 2018 and had a great time so we returned this year and will return again in the future. The cottage is right on the sand, 2 blocks down from the boardwalk, so you can easily walk or ride a bike to get to the pier or any of the many shops and restaurants.
The only issues we had were:
1. The owner showed up and walked right into the apartment, where my daughter and grand children were getting ready for lunch, without knocking or identifying himself. This really scared my daughter, having a stranger walk in on her.
2. On another day, someone came into the house, took out the trash and pulled the bins out of the garage, for trash pickup, where our vehicles were parked. I appreciate that someone took the time to do this, however I was very uncomfortable with the fact that they were in the unit without my knowledge or permission, as well, when we were not there. We read the handbook and were prepared to put the bins out ourselves, as it stated. In the future, the owner should be more mindful of the guests privacy. Other than that I would recommend this place for anyone wanting a lovely experience on the beach. Although you may want to stay away on a holiday weekend, the beach goers get pretty rowdy!
