About this property

2012 remodel of 1930's Spanish, overlooking Rowena Reservoir Pond. Indoor/outdoor California living at its very best. Quiet, serene neighborhood near EVERYTHING, nestled just below Griffith Park's trails, streams, Zoo, horses, golf and tennis courts.

Note, the pond may be dry. Due to drought conditions, the Department of Water and Power isn’t refilling the pond. Therefore, the pond water condition depends on rain.

Private deck for your morning coffee, sunset glass of wine or just lake and hummingbird viewings. Or arrange with us to use the expansive lake view terrace (by request if we're not using it). Minimum rental period is 30 days.

Gourmet kitchen, spacious living room & dining room gorgeous finishes. Large bedroom & closet, washer/dryer.

Abundant street parking (the road is below the view!).

One king size bed is the only sleeping accommodation (for 1 or 2 persons).

WALK to the Silver Lake Trader Joe's the Silverlake Gelson's supermarket and many of Silverlake's wonderful restaurants and shops.

People love to walk our neighborhood of gently rolling hills (and a few bigger ones) to enjoy a look at the mansions up the hill, the geese on the lake, the charming small apartment buildings, the wonderful gardens.

10 minute drive to Hollywood, Downtown, Glendale, Burbank.

Silverlake or Silver Lake or any other way you like at it's finest. We are actually located in Los Feliz, (which has it's own lovely eating/dining/shopping strip--Hillhurst Avenue). But we're just a block from Silverlake's most charming shopping area.

Lovely place in great location

I stayed a little over two months at this property for a work trip, and it was perfect for my needs. The location was great--in walking distance to groceries, shops, and restaurants. I am a runner, so it was also very convenient to Griffith Park and other trails. The garden was beautiful, the kitchen was well-equipped, the place was spotless, and it started to feel like home. There was always parking available, and it was a quiet neighborhood, all of which was great. Communication with the owner was very easy. I would definitely stay there again.

A Rare Gem in LA!

Spent two months in this wonderful duplex and could not have been more comfortable. It was spotless, beautifully renovated, equipped with everything you could need or want. My daughter and I felt very much at home. We had very nice neighbors on the other side of the duplex but the wall between is so well insulated that we never heard a sound. The view is amazing! It is very rare in LA to have a view like this. I spent a lot of time on the patio enjoying it. As well as the lovely garden. The fence and outdoor lighting made the property feel very safe and private. Parking on the street was never a problem. There was always a spot right in front. The neighborhood is wonderful. Everything is close by. Many stores and restaurants in walking distance. Took daily walks around the lovely neighborhood. I sincerely hope I have the opportunity to stay here again.

Charming, comfortable, and convenient

The place is well-laid out and very well-equipped as well as spotlessly clean. The plantings around the house are beautiful and the lighting at night is atmospheric. The location is quiet, yet in easy walking distance of grocery stores, drugstore, and restaurants. We loved staying there!

Exceeded expectations!

Unit is extremely well equipped and furnished. All appliances were like new and the kitchen and dining area were perfect for making great meals at home. There are many restaurant and grocery options within a short walk. Neighborhood was really quiet and nice. I look forward to staying here again in the future.

Charming neighborhood of older homes (and a few mansions) but an easy walk to Trader Joe's, restaurants, Gelsons. Minutes by car to downtown (Disney Hall, Music Center, museums...) Glendale (Americana), Hollywood and West Hollywood, the LA Zoo and Autry Museum
