Brookside Acres is located at the far west end of Blanchard Valley and, since 1939, has been a diary farm, a cattle ranch, has been logged numerous times as has the surrounding area. Larry and Bonnie Reichert are taking a more conservative approach and continue to raise hay for sale and their own livestock. Guests are welcome to bring their own horses and ride surrounding trails.
In the foothills of the Selkirks, Mt. Spokane at 5400’ is the highest nearby mountain. Brookside Acres sits at 2700’ and is accessed from the west over a small pass which elevation equals that of Snoqualmie Pass in the Washington Cascades. You’ll normally find the pass enshrouded with snow through April. From the east, Brookside lies six miles from the town of Blanchard, Idaho.
We are certain that you’ll enjoy and prize these surroundings as we do.
