About this property

The Poolside Retreat, BC Tourism Approved Accommodation, is located in a quiet area, surrounded by farmland, yet is only a 4 minute drive to the beach and downtown Peachland. The Parrot Sanctuary, children's playground and Wineries are only a short stroll away, plus there are beautiful hiking paths nearby. Our mini resort offers either the POOLSIDE SUITE on this page or CARRIAGE HOUSE, listing 1515470 and LUXURY AIRSTREAM (2 adult guests only restricted availability) all set in delightful gardens, just steps away from our seasonal heated saltwater pool with diving board (open Mid May till 13th September) and easy access to our lawned outside games area with badminton/volleyball net. We only allow paying guests to use our facilities for added safety for our guests and children.

Our 2 Bed POOLSIDE SUITE, is from C$115.00 to C$210.00 per night for up to five occupants and offer continental breakfast if requested for a small extra fee. The Suite is on the lower floor of the main house, is over 1,000 sq ft. has 2 comfy bedrooms, lounge area that is conveniently next to the bedrooms with sofa bed, plus a media room with plasma screen tv, pool table and kitchenette with breakfast bar, microwave, countertop convection oven, portable induction hob, fridge, and crockery. It also has a private entrance and patio with barbecue and path leading up to the pool area. Please note this is only suitable for families with up to 2 children.

THE 2 Bed CARRIAGE HOUSE listing 1515470 is from C$150.00 per night minimum of three nights during low season and C$2000.00 weekly, Saturday to Saturday, during high season. It can accommodate up to six occupants. This is very popular with families and has its own private garden, is nearly a 1,000 square foot, has a full kitchen with dishwasher, laundry, 2 bedrooms, one of which leads out onto the private patio with a path leading to pool area. We welcome children of all ages and toys, a cot and highchair available if requested.

LUXURY AIRSTREAM from C$159.00 which has limited availability and is restricted to two adult guests.

We aim to have the pool ready for Victoria long weekend and we usually close it by the second week in September

There is plenty of room for parking your toys and also docks are available to rent nearby.

Peachland itself is ideally located in the center of the Okanagan Valley which makes it an ideal base to explore the whole area and visit its many festivals, events, and ski resorts.

Simply Amazing

My family had such an amazing time at this lovely place. The suite is very cozy, clean and had everything we needed for our stay and more. The swimming pool was the highlight in this lovely home. After a tiring day roaming around Peachland and Kelowna we would finish up our day with a swim at the pool. Anyway Gill was an awesome host have us so much privacy and when we needed battery for the tv remote and extra towels it was instantly delivered at our doorstep. Very nice indeed and we would love to comeback again.

Winter paradise

We stayed here while in town for a funeral. The host was amazing and the Poolside Suite was an amazing accommodation. Everything we needed was at hand. Would love to come back in the summer!

About the host

We have three adult children and emigrated to Canada in 2008, after falling in love with Peachland. In the 2 years we have been here we have made many friends and have embraced the Okanagan laid back and outdoor lifestyle. We enjoy meeting people, hiking, fishing, swimming and skiing. In fact our youngest son was in the British Ski Team for many years. Our favorite pastimes is joining our friends for a drink in a cafe along Beach Avenue and watching the world go by. Bliss!

Why they chose this property

One of the many reasons we chose to buy in the the Okanagan Valley is the climate, It is located at the northern most end of the Sonora Desert and hence has a semi-arid climate, boasting long warm summers and relative mild winters compared to elsewhere in Canada. It is also in an ideal location being in the heart of the Okanagan making it easy to take advantage of everything it has to offer. We also loved the fact that we could be at a ski resort within 15mins in the winter and a major ski resort in just over an hour. We were very lucky to find a beautiful house on a flat acre of land, with a suite and also with a legal Carriage Houses and knew it would make ideal holiday accommodation. We really do enjoy sharing our great facilities with our guests and are greatly rewarded when we see our guests enjoying the pool and other amenities.

What makes this property unique

We were attracted to this property as it was the only we one we saw where we could offer
A pool that enjoys a full day of the sun which is shared by a limited amount of guests thereby find they have it to themselves a lot of the time.
Private patios with no immediate neighbors and private paths to the pool area.
Outside Games area with badminton net set up and other outside toys provided.
In fact, as much as is offered in a five-star hotel, but more privacy at half the cost!!
In the winter we have a cozy gas fire plus a pool table to enjoy (for parties that are all adults)
No Highway noise in a quiet flat area yet close to downtown Peachland
