All you need for that family get away! This recently remodeled condo sits right beside the water allowing you to sit on the deck while the kids fish and feed the ducks right in front of you. (This unit allows you to access the walkway from the deck which takes you to the pool, docks, lake side, lake swimm area. Most units exit to the palking lot and then you have to walk down steps to get to the Lake, docks, walkway). You came to be at the lake, you might as well sit right beside it.
The 2 br 2 ba unit is located in Southwood Shores, close to Four Seasons off Horseshoe Bend at the 12-mile marker.
The condo is tastefully decorated and features a LCD TV with HD cable/DVD in living room. The master bedroom includes HD cable TV/DVD along with your personal entrance to the deck. Guest bedroom has Cable TV/DVD and Xbox (with games) for the kids. The condo is equiped with wireless internet and there is also internet available for your use at the club house, while watching the kids swim in the indoor pool or hot tub.
During your stay, enjoy some selections from our personal movie collection that will entertain both the kids and adults alike. There are also books and board games for family bonding time during your stay. The bedrooms and deck have ceiling fans and the kitchen comes fully equipped with everything you will need for you vacation. The condo has granite counter tops in the kitchen and bathrooms. There are also a washer and dryer in the condo if you need to do laundry during your stay. Make sure you set aside some time to relax on your private deck that overlooks the lake.

The amenities in this complex are unmatched. Most complexes only have an outdoor pool. The amenities at Southwood Shores includes: outdoor pool, indoor pool, hot tub, lake swim area w/swim dock, tennis/pickleball, basketball, shuffle board, kids playground, horseshoe pit, and fish cleaning station.
There is a boat ramp on site and boat slips are available to rent through Southwood Shores.
*Remember when comparing different condos that many complexes are very large, with a long walk or have to drive to the pool. We are only 3 buildings from the pool and ours is one of the few units, this close to the pool, that you can walk right off the deck to the walkway that leads to the pool and the docks.

Spring break

Very nice property. We have stayed at another rental in this condo facility and it was very comparable which is why we selected this property as the other was booked. The area is great and secure with nearly everything a person could ask for of a facility. Groceries and dining are about 10-15 minutes away. No complaints but the grill only would light on one of the two burners which was fine for the two of us but might be an issue for a larger group.

I am a retired teacher and coach from Pattonville High School in St. Louis. Angie has recently retired from Centene where she worked in HR. We have 3 daughters: Brooke is a middle school science teacher in Troy Missouri. Megan is a first grade teacher in Pattonville School District. Madison is employed at Ameren where she is an Engineer Project Manager. All the girls are married now. We had 3 weddings in 2 years!!!!! We are proud to welcome Bryar, Parker and Aaron into the family.
We are now grandparents! Welcome to the family Brylie and Lincoln.

Why they chose this property

Our family came down and stayed in Southwood for years. We decided we have so much fun we wanted to buy a unit. We purchased our first unit in March 2004. Since the unit was rented so often we decided to purchase another one so we could enjoy as well. In 2014 we decided we needed more room so we sold one condo and we purchased a 3BR + Loft unit in the Miramar complex by the 31 mile marker. That unit is also available on VRBO #673485.

What makes this property unique

Southwood shores is a very family friendly complex that offers so many amenties for the entire family. Great restuarants, shopping and entainment are all very close. Excellent location.
Something that is always mentioned by our renters is how much they enjoy the time spent on the deck. It sets right next to the water with an exit that leads to the walkway that takes you to the pool/docks/lake swim area. The kids can fish right in front of you as you sit on the deck having coffee or happy hour. There is a table on the deck, ceiling fan and chairs with seating for 6. It also includes a Weber grill for barbecuing your dinner.
