Perfect for our Family!

The cabin was perfect for our family trip to reconnect together in the mountains. The cabin was clean and had everything that we need just as we read on the listing. We especially enjoyed our walks around the lake. The owner was responsive and he answered all of our questions immediately and was very thoughtful. Our children loved sleeping in the cozy bunk bed. We recommend the cabin to our friends and family. We will be back again soon!

Disappointing to say the least

This property lacks basic comfort and security. The majority of the windows don’t function, one wasn’t attached. The door handles are broken, the furniture, save one couch was ripped, broken and outside moldy and threadbare. The dishes and pots were dirty was was the BBQ. There was garbage, glass and cigarette butts strewn around the yard. The canoes were broken and unsafe, with broken paddles floating inside. The bathroom was dirty, the shower curtain in tatters and the face cloths and towels were falling apart. While the location is beautiful however everything else was truly disappointing. There were warnings posted on tape and scribbled notes about broken the dishwasher, that beeped constantly and to not fill the garbage can as there is only 1 cleaner. We were absolutely embarrassed to welcome our family to the property while in town for our daughters wedding. This is by far the worst experience of renting we’ve had over dozens of trips in last twenty years.

property is run down. needs repairs dishwasher broken. dryer not working properly. fridge will break soon. not sure if sheets were washed so we washed them ourselves day we got there. also washed windows downstairs. too dirty. no propane for bbq. had a great time with kids and grandkids though

Gateway in sunny, warm Cranbrook

Great location, Definitely great for a family gathering - Rustic, charming lake cabin, nice bedrooms/bathrooms setup but VRBO description/listing is a bit outdated Not all amenities are still available Living room furnitures needs upgrade, upkeep on the infrastructure have been neglected but considering that the place is up for sale, the owner for this rental property may not want to put any money in

Filthy House. Feel Scammed

Jerry is unfortunately the worst host I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. His House was very DIRTY. The sheets in all 5 bedroom were filthy with hair/crumbs/dirt. We had to clean all counter /table surfaces and floor before we unpacked. The host/owner lives out of country and was not communicating with us in any helpful way. He threatened me to not leave a review and then he would refund us 50%. The refund never happened. It’s a shame. the lake is pretty. I feel scammed. And the filthy property inside and out ruined our weekend
