Accessibility - 2 floors above street level. Elevator

Apartment description - 3 double-bedroom newly renovated apartment with 3 full bathrooms. This apartment still has the 100+ years old mosaic floors (a different design in every room) and beautiful ceilings with decorative moldings. One en-suite bathroom in master bedroom with sink, shower, toilet. Second bathroom with sink, shower, toilet. Third bathroom with sink, bathtub, toilet. Please note one of the bedrooms has a small loft with a bed in it and steep stairs to reach it (see pic).

Complete kitchen including oven, microwave oven and full-size refrigerator. Master bedroom with one 180x190cm bed. 2nd bedroom have two single beds (80x190cm). 3rd bedroom has two single beds, one 90x200cm down, and one 90x190cm in the loft.

One five-seater corner leather sofa in living room. 32' flat screen in living room with 'home cinema' Dolby 5.1 sound system. 42' flat screen in master bedroom. There are a few Satellite stations: You can watch CNN International, in English, plus three BBC channels. There is a big safe in the master bedroom. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer.

For maximum comfort this apartment has central air-conditioning, with vents in all of the bedrooms, and in the living and dining room.

The apartment has a balcony with seating and there is also access to the furnished roof terrace, with monument views.

Location - The apartment is in the historical part of the Eixample area, at short distance and midway from the Sagrada Familia temple and Passeig de Gracia shopping.

Transportation - Near Verdaguer metro station (on yellow and blue lines) and several bus lines. Very easy to get to by taxi.

Management - We are a small family company. Lauren is from Dallas, TX and Fernando is from Barcelona, Spain. We currently run 16 holiday apartments in Barcelona, 2 furnished homes in Dallas and 8 holiday apartments in Istanbul. We apply our same high standards in every country.

Noise levels - Façade windows have double glazing, but there can be some street (traffic) noise in the living area. The bedrooms have no traffic noise.

Hot water - The apartment has been recently fitted with a gas water-heater that heats the water continuously, so you will not run out (as the electric 200-liter water tank proved sometimes not sufficient).

Occupancy - The apartment is ideally suited for 6 people. It can sleep up to 6.

Check-in and check-out - The apartment will be ready for you at 16:30 for occupancy. You can drop your bags and get your keys from 12:00 (noon). Check-out time is 11:30am. You can request reserved early check-in or late check-out for a small fee, subject to availability. There is no extra fee for nighttime check-in. We have our office in the building next door.

Reservations - We conduct reservations by email, that way there is a written record of all communications and much less room for error. We do not take reservations or payments by phone.

Quiet building in central location. Apartment was clean and well equipped.

Really enjoyed this apartment

My friends and I really enjoyed staying here. The location and area of is very nice and easy to walk around with restaurants close. A door separates the bedrooms from living room so those who slept early were not disturbed. The apartment was clean and contained two balconies which was nice. A special thanks to Lauren and Fernando who mailed to the U.S. my friend's rings which were left behind at the apartment!!

Great location, wifi dodgy

The apartment is in a great location, and nicely laid out so that each bedroom has it's own bathroom and was good value. It was nice and clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately we found the wifi dropped out a lot and was very slow, so that would be my one area for improvement.

Great location but not so welcoming

The location of the apartment is perfect and most of the apt. very beautiful. I say"most " because the master bedroom and living room/kitchen spaces are really lovely. The other 2 bedrooms do not have windows and have not been made very pretty (they did get air from an inner courtyard air shaft that was very noisy sometimes). This was a bit awkward for us three friends, one having a MUCH better room. It would be more suitable for a family with kids. Also, we never saw Eduardo, the greeter - even after several texts and phone calls to him and the owner and a request for help. The wifi did not work the whole time we were there and there were many remarks in the guest book about this. We nonetheless had a great time in Beautiful Barcelona.

Beautiful Property & Fabulous Location

This was my family's first experience using HomeAway rather than staying in a hotel while on vacation, and we could not have been happier! The apartment is the perfect combination of modern convenience (updated kitchen and baths, WiFi, and HDTV) and Old World Charm (mosaic tile floors, beautiful wood shutters, and high ceilings).

The location cannot be beat. Great restaurants and most of the attractions we wanted to see, including Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, and La Sagrada Familia were within easy walking distance. If we needed to go farther, Metro stations were nearby and taxis were easy to find.

The pictures on HomeAway are an accurate representation of the property. The Master Bedroom, in particular, is gorgeous and has a view onto the beautiful patios of adjacent properties, but the entire apartment is just fabulous!

Any "criticisms" I have are pretty minor and easily fixable. I agree with a previous reviewer that the white furniture is showing some wear, but that honestly wasn't a big deal for us. Everything was very clean and comfortable, and the apartment has a warm, inviting, family home vibe.

The biggest issue for me was the shower in the 2nd bathroom. It is TINY with just enough room for me, a petite woman, to stand up in. It would be really helpful if the owner installed a shelf or shower caddy for shampoo, conditioner, soap, etc. The other two bathrooms have very comfortably sized showers, and we all had plenty of hot water.

Overall, this is a wonderful property, and I would not hesitate to recommend it.
