Perfect Beautiful Tuscany Home!
We had the pleasure of staying at Casa Alina in October of 2023. This property is magnificent! We loved the peaceful surroundings in a small town in Tuscany, and yet we were such a close drive to Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Lucca, Pisa, Panzano, etc etc etc. Best of both worlds - enjoy the peaceful rolling hill's of Tuscany while getting to all of the best cites in Tuscany. Kimberly Pucci is a great owner! Awesome to communicate with us before booking AND We also want to say what an AMAZING treasure Alessandra Innocenti is as our local hostess. Alessandra took the time to communicate with us before during and after our trip to Casa Alina. Sometime several times a day while we were there! She is a treasure of Tuscany, a wealth of knowledge, and made great suggestions to us from what towns to visit, restaurants to eat at, the best places to shop, and on and on. She also helped arrange transportation for us, Francesco was also an amazing host and drive us from Rome to Casa Alina with a great trip through Florence. Our trip would not have been the same without Alessandra Innocenti! Italy should be proud of Alessandra! Book this property, you will be so happy you did!

Perfect in every way!
Staying at Casa Alina was one of the best decisions we made on our trip to Europe. From the moment you walk into the courtyard, you are taking a step back in time but soon realize you have all the modern conveniences of home. The villa was so well stocked, the only thing we needed to purchase was food. We were met by a precious couple who explained everything to us and who went above and beyond to see that we were settled. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. I give it 4 times the amount of stars allowed!

The Cooking Lesson With Benedetta Was An Amazing Experience!
Dear Pucci Family, We had a fantastic stay at Casa Alina. We arrived to the warm welcome of Laura and Roberto, who greeted us with kindness and a full Italian dinner cooked by Laura! The house is amazing, spacious and elegant. We enjoyed the local town of Montespertoli and our adventures in Florence. We really appreciated Certaldo's old center. We had the most amazing experience with Benedetta who offered us a cooking lesson, complete with Caprese salad, Lasagne, Chicken Cacciatore, Tiramisu, bread and wine. Definitely a MUST do! Our family had a splendid time. Thank you so very much. Warmly, Ann, Beth, Chad & Adin New York City & San Francisco

Fabulous in February!
On a dreary day in February, my sister and I arrived to find this hidden (literally –keep your eyes peeled for the sign Via Ortimino) gem nestled amongst the Tuscan hills, very conveniently located in the Montespertoli region. Upon our arrival we were met by Laura and husband Robert with arms loaded full of amazing lunch goodies! Little did we know how fond we would become of Laura’s amazing meals – including breakfast baskets stuffed to the rim with fresh eggs, yogourt, coffee, fruit and croissants. The villa is beautifully decorated with comfortable furnishings, including the most amazing wrought iron beds with sheets that made it hard to climb out of bed each day in spite of the draw of Florence (30 min drive or train ride), of Lucca, of MONTECATINI Terme (amazing hot springs/spa), of Siena and so many neat little towns. Casa Alina is spotless, roomy and an oasis of comfort – we loved our 3 weeks there! Only thing we ‘missed’ was a full-size coffee maker however we did have fun with the traditional coffee brewer. We came to Italy from Canada and so expected to not find it as chilly as we did; in fact we ended up putting on the heat every day which in hindsight was more expensive than we had realized – next time we will incorporate this expense into our budget (Kimberley can provide an average cost to you in advance) should you visit in the winter months. As the owner, Kimberley made herself available to us at all times and was extremely responsive. We rented this fabulous little Fiat with a GPS that we nicknamed Maria whom never failed to get us from adventure to adventure! Can’t wait to return to Casa Alina in the future. Enjoy!!!

About the host

Hosted by Kimberly Pucci

Host profile image
Kimberly and Alessio Pucci are the owners of Casa Alina, a five star villa in a restored hamlet that they purchased after living in the heart of Renaissance Florence for more than a decade. The couple was looking for a quiet place in the unspoiled Tuscan countryside to raise a family that was within a short drive to Florence. Kimberly, an American, studied in Florence and then began her career in the Italian jewelry business as a buyer on the Ponte Vecchio. Alessio, a Tuscan native, earned his Phd. at the University of Pisa in Structural Engineering and Architecture. Casa Alina is named after the couple's first child, Alina, who was born in Florence in 2004. They have since moved to Rhode Island where Kimberly owns a luxury goods business. Alessio is a partner at Paul Weber, an architectural firm in Newport. The couple enjoys spending time with Alina (14) and Niccolo (9) and their Golden Retriever puppy, Frankie. Casa Alina has become their retreat from their hectic lives in the US! They have been welcoming guests for more than 15 years.

Why they chose this property

Rolling hills dotted with cypress trees, walks in the vineyards, our olive groves...a great location with fabulous wine and amazing food! Need we say more?

What makes this property unique

Cooking with Benedetta is truly a unique culinary experience. Each course begins with a focus on quality, fresh and local products. The participants select from a menu of choices prior to their stay. The focus is on exploring true Pucci family recipes that can easily be prepared when you arrive home. The lesson is taught in the privacy of the villa and prices include both wine, water and aprons. Lessons vary from Regional Tuscan Experiences to Homemade Pasta making and Desserts to family friendly lessons. 65-100 Euro pp.

Let Nonna Laura prepare an authentic, flavorful farm-to-table four-course meal for you. Laura will spoil you with her seasonal menus based on local ingredients from her organic farm and markets as well as the local bounty. Taste what true Tuscan cuisine is. Sun ripen tomatoes, homemade pesto, locally hunted porcini mushrooms and homemade pasta as well as fresh caught Wild Boar, Hare and Pheasant. And if you haven’t tried the Florentine steak, you must ask her to throw one on the grill for you. Her simple desserts made with fresh cream, eggs and fruits are amazing and if you have never had Tiramisu, then save room! 55-95 Euro pp, including wine

Toscana By Bike is a small e-Bike tor shop in Montespertoli that we highly recommend. Massimo is a super guide and will tour you through the vineyards and groves and off the neaten path on these fun two wheeled cycles. The tour ends with wine tasting and lunch in a castle and a tour of the antique wine cellars. This will be a highlight of your trip.
