A public path runs by the property, that is enjoyed for cycling, jogging, horseback riding and walking, and meanders through a beautiful nature protection area. The beach with a dock and raft, is a 2 minute walk from the door.

Every season offers a different appeal:
The summer days can be spent lazing at the lake, hiking in the mountains, or enjoying visits to cultural and historic places and attractions.
In spring, experience traditional Easter celebrations and customs at various local events.
In winter, the Wolfgangsee Advent and Christmas Market runs from Nov 18-Dec 31, Thursday to Sunday. The local customs and cultural fare are beautifully displayed with a floating Peace Lantern glowing over the lake. For the outdoor enthusiast in the winter months, there are a number of excellent downhill ski areas close by, and cross-country skiing trails which are accessible from the edge of the property, and also up at the Postalm nearby.
There are always museums and galleries to explore, and music events and tours to enjoy throughout the year.

There is plenty to see and do, to appeal to all interests, whether it be outdoors enjoying nature, participating in high energy activities like hiking, cycling and skiing, or sightseeing and experiencing the many museums, concerts and cultural events.

Strobl is one of three quaint & historic villages on the shores of Lake Wolfgang, which are linked by road and ferry service. There is good public transportation by bus and train for guests without a car. It is a half hour scenic drive to Salzburg, the famous city of Mozart, with its historic castle and Mirabell Palace, and the home of the 'Sound of Music'.
