Renovated old Viennese apartment in a quiet location in a side street of the Mariahilfer Strasse shopping street. The apartment was refurbished in early 2018, the shower newly built and painted. Centrally located at the U3 subway station. Museum district and House of the Sea nearby. 20 min. walk to the Hofburg and St. Stephen's Cathedral.

Apartment consists of modern beds, wardrobes and sanitary rooms, complemented by antique furniture (dining table and desk).

Super city break

The apartment is located on a side street off Vienna`s main shopping area, but is nevertheless secluded and quiet. It was clean, tidy and comfortable. The owner lives on the floor above and was happy to respond to queries. The area is well served by public transportation and is only a short walk away from the city`s cultural highlights.

Spacious apartment

I had the best two month stay in this apartment. Amazing location, 3 minute walk from the metro, much bigger in person than it looks in the photos and all of the amenities needed.

Perfect Find

We have visited Vienna for 30 years now and this was the BEST stay we had four our family. 3 adults for 30 days in this place was great. We loved the historic look of each room. Kitchen was fully stocked, so we cooked often. The Apt is right off of Mariahilfer strasse, so access to delicious ice cream, shopping, and the U-bahn. Best kebab shop in Vienna is a 6 min walk up the street and grocery store is next door. The apt came with blinds on the outside that helped keep the heat out. The balcony was amazing - rare to find a balcony that size in Vienna. The hosts are great, responsive, and helpful. We will be booking this place every time we come to Vienna!

I am a typical Viennese civil servant who tries to earn something with the rental of holiday apartments or loft.

Why they chose this property

This house has been owned by my family for a long time, an old Viennese textile dynasty with factories in the whole area of Austria-Hungary (see photo of the marble panel in the entrance area). The apartments are a nice mix of old antiques with new modern but matching furnishings.

What makes this property unique

The central location is loved by my guests, as one of Vienna's most popular shopping streets passes nearby, the distance to museums and sights of the city is not far, but also a subway station is very close.
