You rent a house for sole use with:

- 3 bedrooms (1 x king-size double bed 1. 80x2.10, 2 x French. Grand lit 1. 40x1. 90) with German bedding (pillows, blankets)
- Fully equipped kitchen with direct access to the roof terrace
- bathroom with toilet, shower and bathtub (first floor), separate toilet (second floor)

For structural reasons, this house is unfortunately not suitable for people with walking difficulties or for small children!

Dear guests,
Our house is in the middle of a typical village that belongs to the city of Uzes. It is an ancient, but constantly renovated stone house that extends over two floors and has a sunny roof terrace with shading as well as ground-level cellars (bicycle garage). Our guests do not expect a commercial holiday home, but a lovingly and elaborately equipped family house, which we use as a fully-fledged second home. The decor is typical of the country and designed with many artifacts and antiques that require careful handling. For this reason we charge a deposit of € 200, which will be deposited in cash on arrival. Kitchen and bathroom are fully equipped, spices, hygiene and cleaning products are usually available.
Such an old house has a lot of charm, but also peculiarities that not everyone appreciates: steep stairs, natural stone walls, changing water pressure. The electrical installation is typical of the country and cannot be compared with German standards. (Anyone who knows rural southern Europe knows that this is always an issue.) You will feel most comfortable here if you are looking for a holiday in an authentic environment with nature, tranquility and yet proximity to the most important cultural and historical sites in the region. However, La Capelle does not have nightlife or hype. For suggestions for more precise planning of your stay on site you will find a folder in the house with all relevant information as well as travel literature on southern France and extensive maps.

Beautiful home-from-home in a pretty village

We really enjoyed our 5-night stay in Capelle-et-Masmolène. The lovely worn stone steps to the upper floor hint at the house's ancient origins. It's one of the most generously equipped self-catering houses we've stayed at, with lots of kitchenware, food supplies (just replace what you use), toiletries etc. The bedrooms were all comfortable and spacious, and fans were provided to help keep us cool. There are two lounge areas indoors and a lovely patio planted with succulents - and even a basil plant for your salad/pasta dish. Although the village is very quiet, without any shops/services, we had a delicious lunch at a restaurant just a 10-minute walk from the house. We also had a lovely walk and clamber among the characterful rocks just above the property (look for the elephant, lion, tortoise etc). It's only 20 minutes from the breathtaking Roman Pont Du Gard, which is a great swimming spot. The owner was on holiday when we stayed but was still very responsive by email when we had questions.

Ambiance provençale assurée

Gite conforme au descriptif, spatieux et agréable. Terrasse très appréciable le matin et le soir. A recommander. Seul bémol, le réseau téléphonique a du mal à passer, mais internet fonctionne très bien.

Urlaub französisch

Wer wie wir gerne nach Frankreich fährt und unter Franzosen leben möchte, ist in la Capelle gut aufgehoben. Die Unterkunft in einem original französischem Steinhaus, das wie der gesamte kleine Ort liebevoll restauriert wurde, lädt zum Verweilen ein. In 15 Min. ist man in Uzès und am Pont du Gard. Wer mag sollte (wie wir) Karten für das Sommerfestival in Uzès ergattern. Wir haben es genossen!

Idyllisches Haus

Sehr ruhiges Örtchen, Haus hat alles was Mann benötigt sowohl in der Küche als auch im Im restlichen Haus. Tolle Ausgangslage für Spaziergänge, Wanderungen und Fahrradtouren. Leider kein Internet und auch ansonsten kein guter Empfang für das Handy…

Une jolie maison de village provençal au calme

Dans un petit village sans commerces, très beau, dans la garrigues, le charme de cette maison de famille tient beaucoup à sa terrasse et ses vieilles pierres. Assez proche d'Avignon, Nîmes, des rivières, on doit néanmoins toujours prendre sa voiture pour 20 à 40 minutes de route. Mais le lieu le mérite.
