This three story city town house has been in the Giraldi Family for the past 500 years. The two year restoration job has recently been completed so the apartment is in excellent condition.

Via Trebbio offers a perfect holiday apartment on an intimate street, nestled in between Piazza Santa Maria Novella ( recently restored to it's original splendor and home of Masaccio's masterpiece, La Trinita') and Via Tornabuoni, where you will find Gucci, Todds and Ferragamo. Two blocks to Florence's breathtaking 'Duomo', therefore short walking distances to famous churches, museums and monuments. Four Blocks off the River Arno where you can cross the world known 'Ponte Vecchio'.

This apartment sleeps up to 4 people, but if you should need more room for larger groups contact Rachel as other apartments are available in the same building. Nice roomy apartment in great location

Jim and I stayed here for the entire month of April 2014. The apartment was just as advertised-roomy, clean, great location close to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping, even a wonderful carry-out restaurant where we could bring back 1/2 a roast chicken or lasagna for our dinner. Rachel was very responsive to all questions. Our cons to the place: lousy pots and pans (we like to cook!) and a very old TV set that did not work well!

Christmas in Florence

We stayed here for 5 nights in the middle of our trip to Italy. Since we arrived on Christmas we had it all set up with Rachel to check in and it worked perfectly. Rachel the caretaker was very helpful, giving us advise on places to visit and restuarants in the area. She speaks Italian and English and was easy to contact. This apartment holds 4 people and we had 6 so we also rented the apartment above it. It was very nice to have a diningroom and living room space for everyone to gather. The apartments are very nice and well taken care of. Comfortable beds, nice bathrooms, large space, internet, plus a washer. It is in the heart of the city- walking distance to every where. Only downfall was the TV is older and only 1 channel would work. This listing is wonderful and we would recommend it to friends

Very very nice

I stayed in this apartment for 8 nights and I would highly recommend this rental. I use the VRBO site several times a year and this spot has a great, central location, very clean, well managed and true to its description. The very knowledgeable manager Rachel was at the flat when I arrived so the check-in was very smooth. Rachel gave me all the details I needed for a wonderful stay in a wonderful city. It does have some steps up off the street level (4th floor US) but that helped keep the noise level down in the apt. The bedrooms are in the back of apartment so it was great for sleeping after a day of walking around Florence. The rental is within walking distance of all the sites and very near the train station. I did use the laundry facilities and everything worked perfectly. Rachel had a list of some good restaurants and I did try several of those as well. This was my 4th trip to Florence and I would definately stay here again. I stayed in hotels during my other visits and this rental is a very good value.

A truly exceptional apartment

We enjoyed a very pleasant 3 weeks in this lovely, spacious,comfortable, clean and well-equipped apartment. It is well located, as a number of previous reviewers have said: very close to the SMN train station, it also has in its immediate neighbourhood an excellent trattoria (La Spada) and a very good bakery. We are music lovers and this apartment is well located, approximately half-way between the Nouvo Teatro dell' Opera and the wonderful concert halls, Teatro della Pergola and Teatro Verdi. We were just the two of us and we had lots of room in the apartment which was very comfortable, and quiet, during a rather wet and cool November. We have rented apartments many times in Europe and this was among the best. What we especially appreciated was the help we received from Rachel, the owner's agent: she was quick to respond when we first enquired about renting the apartment, all booking arrangements were very efficient, and not only was she at the apartment when we arrived, she helped us on a couple of occasions during our stay. In our experience of renting in Europe, this was exceptional service. Thank you, Rachel.

Comfortable Home Away From Home

This was home away from home. It was quiet, tastefully decorated, has a fully equipped modern kitchen, separate laundry room, comfortable beds, and a five minute walk to the Duomo. The forty some steps to the third floor were good exercise for two retirees in their seventies. We never felt unsafe and the apartment was a quick walk to several of Rick Steeve's restaurant recommendations. Rachel, the manager, was most helpful and especially understanding when our travel partner developed health problems. We highly recommend this rental.
