**** Apartment Xenios with sea view, waterfront, old town, balcony, air conditioning

The name Xenios stands for "protector of guests, hospitality and the stranger" and the spirit of our holiday apartment that was renovated and newly furnished in June 2016. Whether palace, promenade, bathing beach, cafe or restaurant, everything is in front of the door or can be reached in a few minutes on foot. The apartment is located 80m from the sea and 100m from the adjacent World Heritage Site, the historic center of Split. It is equipped with air conditioning in all rooms, cable TV with 15 German channels and free WiFi. From the balcony of the 50 sqm south apartment, the Blichk crosses the harbor and the ferries. In the spacious kitchen you will find a fully equipped kitchen and a dining table for up to 6 people. A baby chair is provided on request. If necessary, the sofa transforms into a 160 cm wide double bed with mattress and slatted frame. A flat screen offers various television programs.
In the bedroom you will find a classic double bed (180 cm), a three-door wardrobe with mirror and safe. Both rooms offer a view of the sea, the harbor and the island of Brac, each has access to the balcony with a table and seating. The friendly bathroom offers a toilet, large vanity and floor-level large shower, washing machine. For winter guests in the bathroom floor heating, heating by air conditioning.

Xenios is next door to the Xenia studio apartment (see Announce No. 2560339). Both can be rented together. Families or groups are very welcome.

Lovely Sunny Apartment

We had a delightful week in this apartment. It is exceptionally clean and well cared for. Everything works! The beds are comfortable. The area is very near the promenade and Old Town but far enough away to relax on the balcony and to have a good night’s sleep. There is a really good supermarket and bakery less than 5 minutes away. No car is necessary. Check in was good as we were met by Pave and Laura who gave us lots of very useful information about the area. Thank you so much.

Ideal location for a self-catering holiday

This second floor apartment (no lift) is ideally situated for someone wishing to relax and enjoy the local sights, sounds and cuisine. Restaurants are nearby , as are more than one supermarkets, bars, transport and the fabulous Riva (promenade) is 5 minutes walk. The ferry terminal is a 20-30 minute walk away . Pave & Laura are your hosts and are also available to take you on any excursion you wish. Mira is the lady who keeps the apartment clean and she visits twice a week to check that you have all you need. I did some cooking and found all the equipment in perfect working order and easy to use. We were there for two weeks and loved being able to come home and sit on the balcony and watch the comings and goings of the harbour. We would definitely recommend this lovely apartment and if we ever return to Split we would love to stay there again. Apologies, Pave, if I didn't write anything in the guest book in the flat (I had things going on at home which took over, so I might have forgotten). Anyone wanting a recommendation or has questions to ask are free to message me and I will help as much as I can.

Great visit

The property was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Great location and great view of the harbour. Meeting Pave and Laura at the airport was a brilliant start to our trip. They helped me to get my mobile phone repaired and really made us feel welcomed and supported.

Family get away

This is a lovely apartment in a really good location, just a 5 min walk from the old town. It’s really well equipped for all your needs and immaculately clean. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 for neighbourhood is because of the property in front of the apartment block is unsightly to look at, at some stage in the past a hotel has been partly built and then just abandoned and has been covered in graffiti and left to fall apart. We walked to the beach most days but the local bus stops just at the bottom of the hill if you wanted a ride there. The closest beach is around 15 mins walk, but if your prepared to walk a bit further the beach is beautiful and worth the extra trek. It’s worth taking water shoes with you as the beaches are all rocky which is hard on your feet for getting in and out of the sea. We hired a car for a few days and visited Krka National Park for the day. The apartment is perfect for 2 adults, we found it a bit of a squeeze for space when our adult children joined us for a few days, the second bed being a sofa bed in the lounge space. Pave who looks after the apartment is very helpful and was very quick to respond to my questions. If we visit Croatia again this will definitely be our go to.

Week in Split

On arrival at Split Airport we were met as arranged with Paul and taken to meet Laura at the apartment. It was spotlessly clean and exactly as the photos had shown it to be. We were given a tour and left with contact numbers, a town map and directions to the local supermarket. The view over the harbour was lovely to wake up to each morning. The kitchen was very well appointed and had everything I needed to prepare meals with the local produce from the fish and green markets. The bed was extremely comfortable and the towels were changed part way through our stay which was a lovely touch. For a one bedroom apartment had two large rooms and the balcony was lovely for breakfast and relaxing reading a book later in the afternoon. There are tour guide books and lots of leaflets for local activities in the apartment. The apartment block itself was very quiet and the location just within an easy walk of the Riva and especially the lovely new bars by the Marina. We arranged a trip with Paul to Krka National Park which was a great day out with some added sightseeing en route at Solin and Klis. The beaches are within walking distance although Joes Beach Bar at Kasjuni is a little further it is worth the walk. We also hired a Tuk Tuk for a city tour which was fun. The ferries over to the other islands are very easy to book and Hvar was a lovely day trip. An excellent holiday for us - we will be back definitely.
