The 200-strong village Hellenthal "Wollenberg" is particularly suitable for those seeking peace, hikers and nature lovers. Our holiday home "Backes" is a completely restored Eifelbackhaus with underfloor heating. Here, bread can be baked according to the old fathers custom in a more than 100 years old oven. The 40sqm baking room is today living room with modern fitted kitchen and adjoining bathroom. In the 35 sqm attic is the bedroom for 2 adults and 1 toddler (up to 3 years). Pets are not allowed !!

Wonderful, peaceful location

A great cottage with beautiful views set in a small village atop a hill. Very well equipped and set out. Nearby national park has plenty to do and see - the ranger led walks are excellent. Nearby towns have all the facilities you could want. The pictures in the listing suggest that the fire place / bread oven can be lit by the holiday makers, but this is not so. This wasn't a problem but may be a disappointment if a wood fire was expected. Would certainly like to return in the future

Rust, wandelen, fietsen

De eigenaren hebben zich zeer veel moeite getroost om een nagenoeg perfecte accommodatie te creëren. Omgeving nodigt uit om te wandelen en fietsen. Voldoende winkels in de nabijheid voor de noodzakelijke boodschappen. Zou ik in deze accommodatie terugkomen of aanbevelen? Zeker.

Novemberferien in der Eifel

Ein gemütliches Zuhause in regnerischem und kalten Novemberwetter. Mit dem Wetter hatten wir Pech, um so gemütlicher war das perfekt eingerichtete und wohnliche Häuschen. Jederzeit wieder gerne.

Zwei Wochen Eifel im Spätsommer

Die letzten zwei Wochen im September verbrachten wir im Backes. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr gemütlich und geräumig. Alles was man so braucht ist vorhanden. Die Vermieter, die direkt nebenan wohnen, sind sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Bei sehr schönem Spätsommerwetter konnten wir von hier aus die nähere und weitere Umgebung erkunden. Da es unser erster Aufenthalt in der Eifel war, waren wir jeden Tag unterwegs. Fast alle unserer Ziele, konnten wir in weniger als einer Stunde erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr gut erholt und können das Backes und die Eifel mit gutem Gewissen weiter empfehlen.
