1 bathroom with shower, toilet, sink, washing machine
2 separate shower rooms
1 additional toilet with washbasin

..a total of 160sqm.

The location is really fantastic, because with a 5-minute walk you have an impressive view over the "Schönfelder Hochland", Dresden and the TV tower. It is also a perfect starting point for hiking tours through the heath and into Saxon Switzerland, or for walks through romantic valleys and fields.
At the same time, you can get to the center of Dresden very quickly: the bus stops almost in front of the front door, so you can be in the trendy "Dresdner Neustadt" district in 20 minutes.

The property has its own parking space (1 parking space for each apartment).
If necessary, you can also smoke on the covered outdoor terrace so as not to disturb the other guests.
Inside it is cozy, bright, spacious and nothing is missing, although the equipment is simple and practical.
It's not a hotel or luxury condo; the price is deliberately unbeatable.
Linen and towels are provided and included; also the lodging tax and a parking space. Internet and WLAN are available free of charge, as is a washing machine.

The kitchens are well equipped (ceramic stove with oven, microwave, toaster, coffee maker...), the bathrooms of apartment I + II have a bathtub and shower; in the main bedrooms there are large double beds (180x200) and a travel cot and high chair can be provided on request; there are also washing machines.
In the attic apartment there are 6 bedrooms (3 of them are in the attic, which can be reached by 2 more flights of stairs from the living room). In addition, a bathroom with shower, toilet and sink, 2 more separate shower rooms and an extra bathroom with toilet and sink.

There is a bakery and a supermarket within 8 minutes' walk; 5 minutes away is the "Gasthaus zum Hochland" with a wide range of delicious dishes. Diagonally opposite is the old town center with a beautiful park, duck pond and the oldest buildings in the district.
Other worthwhile nearby destinations are e.g. the three castles in Dresden, the climbing park Bühlau (especially for children!), the Blue Wonder, the Körnerplatz, Pillnitz Castle, the Waldschlößchen, the TV tower, the suspension railway and much more.

Way above beautiful
My colleague and I have stayed there for 5 months, we have experienced summer, autumn and winter in Gonnsdorf and everything was perfect :) The house is big, spacious, has everything you need and the most important thing, it's super clean and comfortable! Since the nature around the house is beautiful, we even prepared a barbecue for couple of times in our lovely garden. Everything is well connected to the city centre which we have experienced by travelling everyday to work (sometimes even during the night which wasn't the problem). It's hard to say something about Dana...she is the nicest and coolest person in Dresden and we became really good friends :) She was always ready to help us with absolutely everything and showed us the beautiful sides of Dresden. Thanks a lot Dana! Next time we are coming, it is going to be your nice house :) Kruno and Renata

Why they chose this property

The historical semi-detached house (built in 1890) contains two separate holiday homes which are connected by a staircase. Each apartment offers approx. 65m2 (700 ft²) of living space with one bedroom, a fully stocked kitchen, bathroom with shower + bath tub and a large living room providing plenty of space for 4 people.
If you are a larger group (up to 8 people) you can rent the whole house which gives you two apartments with approx. 145m2 (1560 ft²) of living space (incl. hallway).

Accommodation
The kitchen is equipped with all mod cons such as ceramic hob, oven, microwave, toaster and coffee machine. The bathroom has a bath tub + shower, there’s a double bed in the bedroom and two further single beds in the spacious living room. Towels and bed linen are provided free of charge. You also have free use of the internet/wifi.

I am the owner of the house but live in the city centre. This means you will have complete privacy and can enjoy the large plot of land (670m2 / 7200 ft2) which comes with fruit trees (pick your own fruit :-)) and a lawn perfect for relaxing or a BBQ. There is still some landscaping to do in some parts so it has a real natural feel.

There is a parking space if you are coming by car, however there is no need for one unless you wish to explore other regions outside of Dresden. Dresden has an excellent public transport system and the bus stops almost right outside the door taking you to the city centre in just 20 min.

The Neighbourhood

A bakery and supermarket can be reached by foot in 8 min and only 5 min away you will find the restaurant “Gasthaus zum Hochland” serving delicious traditional food. Opposite is the town centre with a lovely park, duck pond and the oldest buildings of this district.

What makes this property unique

The surrounding area is beautiful – within a 5 min walk you have stunning views of Dresden, the TV tower (Fernsehturm) and Schönfeld Upland (Schönfelder Hochland) – a plateau with gently rolling hills, fields and charming villages. It is also the perfect base for hiking tours in the Dresden Heath (Dresdner Heide), day trips to the Saxon Switzerland (Sächsische Schweiz) as well as romantic strolls through valleys and fields.

Other sights worth visiting include the three Elbe palaces (Elbschlösser), High Rope Forest Adventure Park (great day out especially for kids), Blue Wonder and the Dresden Funicular Railway. Cycling fans can enjoy Germany’s most popular cycle route along the river Elbe with spectacular views of stately castles, idyllic vineyards and the Elbe Sandstone Mountains. For wine lovers there is the Saxon Wine Trail, Germany's smallest wine-growing region and the most northerly in Europe.
Getting Around
Dresden has an excellent public transport system. The bus that stops almost right outside the door will take you to the city centre in just 20 min.
Please note: The price stated per night is for 2 people. If there is a third or fourth person staying each will incur an additional charge of €7 per night.
