This spectacular 600 year old beautifully restored Farmhouse is located just above the famous Villa Bramasole written about in author Frances Mayes 'Under the Tuscan Sun'. The property sits on a scenic 20 acres just outside the city walls of Cortona, Italy. Walk or drive into town and immerse yourself in a 3000 year old Tuscan hill town, complete with amazing restaurants, shops, museums, and true Italian culture.

The 4BR/4BA Farmhouse sleeps 9 comfortably. Fully restored with modern appliances and bathrooms, the house was carefully restored using a local Italian architect to maintain the integrity of the original farmhouse design. Furnished with authentic Italian antiques from the 17-1800's, dressed with fine Tuscan linens by Busatti.

Fun Trip

We've stayed here before and enjoyed the return trip. We came both times with friends and loved being back. Lovely home and beautiful views.

Séjour familial parfait entre farniente, visite des environs et jouissance de Cortona

Maison idéale pour séjour en famille en profitant de la piscine lors des journées chill. Accueil parfait avec le Spumante dans le frigo, le charbon prêt pour le BBQ. Cortona est une des villes les plus pittoresques de Toscane. A conseiller, vraiment !!! De plus, l'emplacement est ideal pour visiter l'Ombrie et la Toscane. Et puis, Oliver fut discret et efficace lorsque nous avions besoin de lui. MERCI !

Most memorable vacation stay EVER

As we drove up to the villa we could not get over how gorgeous the views were. Once we arrived we were even more impressed with the views from the pool deck and rooms. The kitchen is beautiful and very functional. Since it opens up to the back yard it would be great for entertaining, especially with a large group. The bedrooms had everything we needed with STUNNING views! The location was phenomenal. We decided to walk into town from the back of the house and had a great time exploring and taking in the surroundings. Oliver (the property manager) was WONDERFUL. He was super easy to get in contact with and made sure we had reservations at all the best local spots. He even gave us recommendations for the rest of our trip. If you are including Cortona on your trip this home is MUST STAY!

quiet, comfortable, beautiful setting just what we had hoped for.

The town is beautiful. The setting of the farmhouse is idyllic. It is a tense drive to the farmhouse up the driveway due to the narrow road ( more of a path than a road). The drive up, up, up on the out skirts of Cortona to the house was beautiful but at times scary. Fog so think i only could see 2 feet when we arrived at 9pm. The hill town of Cortona is a 15 minute walk down an old Roman trail into Cortona. Such a perfect setting with great shops, wine bars, a great local supermarket in the square and very good restaurants. The locals are very friendly and speak English. You WILL need a car or driver if staying in this home. Home has washer, dryer, hairdryers, heat, ac & dish washer along with outdoor pizza oven and swimming pool. You can walk up to the Medici Fort above the farm house. Under the Tuscan Sun Villa is just below this farmhouse. A great house, a great stay. You must be able to walk a lot and walk lots of steps and pathways to enjoy the area.

Wonderful VIlla withing walking distance of Cortona

My wife and I and two other couples stayed in this beautifully restored farmhouse in April of 2013. Views of the countryside from the villa are amazing and walking into Cortona down the old Roman road was inspiring. We made pizzas and Florentine steaks in the brick oven and thouroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was our first visit to Italy, but definitely not our last.
