Nice place. Lovely location, but a few niggles.

  • 3 of 5

The description says there's a dishwasher - there isn't. We pointed this out to 'owners direct' but still it hasn't changed. I don't mind washing up but don't say there's something there when it isn't (trades description act).

We had some trouble with e-mails getting arrival instructions but we did get them before we left.

When we arrived, the house was in darkness (completely). Being down a small road and isolated we relied on a torch which we happened to carry for emergencies! We had no instructions on how anything worked in the house apart from the security no. to open the box for the key. Thank goodness my husband and I have some experience of electrics because without it, we would have been without any for the first night. We managed to locate the fuse box and the electric was switched off. We turned it back on and thankfully could put the air con and lights on! The aircon is not as described. There is one outlet on the upstairs landing. So, to have any effect in bedrooms you have to leave our doors wide open. Not a big problem for us, but could be for some.

The rep came to meet us on the Monday to collect the cleaners money and the tourist tax. We told her of the arrival - there was no empathy or concern. Anyone else experienced this?? No indication/instructions about wireless password - we found it written on a serviette! TV crap channels for British/kids. Absolutely nothing!

The owner is lovely. Speaks a little English but managed to converse in simple Spanish with him. We had fresh figs, Cactus fruit and grapes from the garden. He calls everyday to feed his dogs which are kept in pens in the bottom garden (along with a beautiful white stallion). No bother to dog owners (as we are) at the beginning, but their barks in spates throughout the day and night are a bit annoying as time goes on. The owner calls every day! Pretty disturbing if you are sunbathing topless for example. When you go to a villa, you expect privacy and not being disturbed. The window in the kitchen is lethal - be careful and the oven thermostat was not working. The filter in the pool was switched to timed and no night light (until we found the controls and overrided them!). We pay, so we'll use the facility - particularly where our girls wanted to go into the pool in the dark.

Overall we really enjoyed ourselves, but the little niggles need to be sorted.

Excellent villa and amenities.

  • 5 of 5

This villa is perfect for a small family. The veranda is fantastic for the summer evenings when the bbq is running and the wine flowing.

We stayed for 7 days and the owners visited a couple of times but were pleasant and didn't bother us except for leaving when they arrived before 10 am and requested we leave by 10 - we had been told checkout was 10.30

As others have mentioned there are barking dogs but in reality we only heard them a couple of times a day - probably feeding time.

We would definitely consider this villa again for a future vacation.

Villa Perfect...Location great.....!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in Villa Enrique for two weeks. Great location, villa beautiful and the owner is such a lovely person. Off from the main road its away from the hustle and bustle but yet close to old town Pollensa which is just perfect. Our kids played in the old square most nights. The villa is charming, behind gates and secure for young ones. If there was a problem the owner sorted it quickly. Cleaning performed twice weekly which was great including towels.

The negatives are that after you have booked, you are informed immediately that there is a 80 euro cleaning fee to be paid in cash on arrival, no mention on owners direct website!. Booked on Owners Direct website but you are dealing with a Spanish agent until arrival not "Owner Direct" so money transfer fees apply which was just under £90.00 for a £2000 transfer as the money paid is going international. The pool is 1.6m depth at all times so no shallow for the kids to play in and finally the owner keeps his dogs in kennels 24 Hours a day just down from the villa itself and they bark all day and night each time a car passes by. It was raised to the attention of the agent and we were told that the dogs are nice "when you get to know them", how can that be, they are locked away 24/7!.

Overall, loved the holiday and would certainly recommend Pollensa....

Gorgeous Finca - even better than expected!

  • 5 of 5

We spent 1 week at this beautiful little paradise and truly enjoyed our stay.

The house is located about 3min drive from the main road but it feels like its away from it all. No direct neighbors, noise, people or anything. Just a car every once in a while going to one of the other fincas which are little dots in the countryside.

The house itself is a beautiful mallorquin style finca with 2 bedrooms and a bath upstairs. The master bedroom has a walk in closet, the bath has a shower. The bath interior is beautiful with natural stone tiles and features a rain shower head. There is also air conditioning upstairs which allowed us to sleep in a nicely cool room despite the hot weather. The master bedroom also has electronic shutters - great if you travel with a baby like us that needs a completely dark room.

Downstairs, you will find the large living room, a smaller bath with a tub and the kitchen plus an extra storage room. All you might need is there, iron board, iron, washer, kitchen stuff and a very large fridge plus freezer. The kitchen has a gas stove but no dishwasher.

While both the livign room as also the kitchen room had a table and chairs, we always ate outside on the patio and used the BBQ heavily- It is a large american style gas BBQ and they even had a spare bottle ready for us.

The patio is where we spent most of our time as it featured super cozy lounge furniture and was always nice and cool to sit and look over the property or even watch the sun rise in the morning. The backyard is quite large including a basketball court behind the house and a shaded parking space for 2 cars and a nice large frontyard plus the nice pool. They also have 4 deckchairs plus very cushy cushions there.

Once per week a lady comes over to change linens and towels, but you could also just use the washer in case you need it more often.

We had a wonderful week in the house and really enjoyed the small things which made it super comfy and nice to be there like fast internet, cool temperature inside, big kitchen and fridge, comfy beds and overall very nice decor and furniture,.

One tiny thing we didn't like: The owners dog were barking a lot and very loudly throughout the day. He came over to feed them on a daily basis and often dropped by to say hello. This was very nice and we wouldn't mind in the beginning but as he came over with 3 dogs running around freely and us having a baby lying on the floor it was not ideal.

Pollensa is a beautiful town which has been untouched by tourism dating back to Roman times.

A visit to el Calvario is a must for every turist. It’s a 365 steps lead up to a beautiful church. The local legend says that you lose one sin for each step you climb.
