Stunning views, the best in jalon

  • 5 of 5

Superb villa, with beautiful gardens which have been well loved. The villa was immaculate and had everything we needed and more. Shame we couldn't use the BBQ due to the ban on fire as so high in the mountains.

Owner's Response: I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and found the villa worthy of a five star rating. The immaculate way the villa is found is total credit to Zoe, who you met, and her team. You are right about the garden as indeed a lot love has been put into creating and maintaining it! I was sorry that the 'law on fires' banned the bbq from being used but this is out of our control. Once again many thanks. Bozena

Delightful

  • 5 of 5

Of all the many holiday villas we have rented over the years, this is the only one which we'd return to without a second thought.

Ideally situated close enough to, and far enough away from, the village. Principal sounds are birdsong, including nightingales, muffled goat bells and the breeze in the palms - oddly for Spain, even the ubiquitous cockerels and barking dogs don't really intrude.

TV/satellite setup works well, and instructions have been rewritten to reflect current hardware (I had plenty of spare time...). Not a Sky system, but main UK channels and regional programmes all available.

The pool is an absolute winner, and the water was 28-30C during our stay - still refreshing but without the need for gritted teeth.

Greeting / cleaning and maintenance staff were spot-on, pleasant and very helpful.

A niggle I got over was the description of 'wheelchair accessible'. I have mobility problems, using variously a stick, a rollator and a battery powered scooter, and I would describe the layout as more challenging than I was expecting, especially without the suggested level access from the parking area, the gates to which were locked, and three deep steps up to loo & bedroom level from the main living area. It didn't impede on our stay, but I'd advise caution for a permanent wheelchair user.

Also worth mentioning that no BBQ fires are allowed in this part of Spain over the entire summer, for fear of stray sparks causing wildfires, so however nice the BBQ setup looks, it's 'out of bounds'. The plus, of course, is there's no need to clean it!

Over all, we had a fabulous stay, in a truly lovely villa.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your wonderful response and my husband and I are delighted that you had such an enjoyable stay. We do our best to provide a homely home for our visitors and try our best to keep the villa in a clean and well maintained state. We thank you for sorting our Television channels, with having guests from many different countries it's difficult to keep all the buttons in order! We look forward to seeing you in another year. Our very best wishes Bozena and Bernard
