About the property

Newly renovated 90 square metre apartment in a fantastic building.

The Ciel Bleu Dalpozzo apartment has been completely renovated with works completed in January 2016.

The apartment has been finished to a very high luxury standard with no expense spared on the renovation.

It is situated in the heart of the Carre d'Or (Golden Square) which is the smartest area in Nice. All of the main tourist sites are within easy walkings distance. The seafront (Promenade des Anglais) is less than 100 metres and the train station is 10 minutes walk.

There are lots of fantastic restaurants and cafe's in the immediate area and there are 2 supermarkets within less than 100 metres.

The accommodation extends to 90 square metres and has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies, large living space, full air-conditioning, high ceilings, parquet flooring and double glazing throughout.

The apartment is situated in a fantastic building which itself has recently undergone a complete renovation such that the communal areas are stunning. There is also a lift in the building so the access is very good.

The apartment is situated on the second floor and with a double aspect, 3 metre high ceilings and full length windows there is an abundance of natural light throughout.

The living room is over 30 square metres and has an open plan American style kitchen which is fully fitted to include a washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, oven and large fridge/freezer.

There is a comfortable seating area with Van der Rohe Pavillion chairs, wall mounted flat screen TV (with Netflix), high speed WiFi and large solid wood dining table with Eames chairs seating 6.

There is also a balcony accessed from the living space which has a table and chairs seating 2 people.

The bedrooms are all a generous size. There are two double bedrooms with king size double beds (160cmx200cm) and a twin bedroom with 2 large single beds (90cmx190cm).

The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with a large rain shower and there is also a family bathroom with bath and rain shower.

The second double bedroom has a balcony with a table and chairs seating 2 people.

We provide Egyptian cotton linen and luxury towels.

  • Both the bathrooms have rain showers, wc, mirror and sink. The main bathroom has a bath and a heated towel rail. Both bathrooms have limestone tiles. Note that we have a very large water tank which should provide easily enough hot water for a group of 6 adults.

This is a very nice property which has been tastefully updated and provided an environment for a pleasant stay. It is within a short walking distance to everything one needs including shopping, food and the prominade for beach access. Good choice for Vacationers for sure.

Very enjoyable time was had by all. Highly recommend apartment.

3-bedroom apartment located in Carre d'Or ("Gold Square") - lives up to its reputation as being in a prime residential area of Nice. We found it a perfect walkable location to enjoy all daily activities the city has to offer - be it Old Town, expansive sea front, or wonder through adjacent neighborhoods. It's also just 10 minutes to train station.

Modest size grocery store less than block away along with bakery. We enjoyed the Italian restaurant immediately adjacent to apartment - as well as several others in neighborhood and Old town.

In addition to its prime location, apartment met all our needs as two traveling couples. Everything fully functional. All three bedrooms comfortable with nice bedding; none/limited outside noise (two bedrooms face away from street). Each bedroom and the living room/kitchen have separate air conditioning units - must during summer. Bathrooms inviting and in excellent condition.

Updated kitchen with pleasant dining table. We ate breakfast in each morning. Smart TV with access to Netflix and other apps. Small balcony which was available to the one smoker in our group.

We found Mike and his team to be most helpful and responsive throughout our visit. We look forward to a return visit.

Wonderful stay in Nice !

We stayed in Dalpozzo apartment for 4 nights last July; this really was a nice experience. The flat is newly refurbished with light colours in an old charming building with a lift. It has full equipment, especially in the kitchen. We also had very nice soaps and shampoos in the bathrooms.

Mike and his staff are very easy to communicate with, so check-in and check-out were very easy. We also could check-in earlier than planned, and left our car in a very nearby parking lot.

I highly recommend this very nice flat to stay in, it was wonderful and very clean.

Amazing apartment and super nice owner

We feel we are so lucky to find this apt in Nice. The apt is so close to the beach and everything. So clean and cozy.!!! We will definitely stay at this apartment again next time. Just feel so comfy!!! Thank Mike, the owner for taking care of so many things for us. The best ever!!!! Just love it!!!

Great location, good equipment, but NOT properly maintained

A lamp shade on the ceiling fall down right on top of a bed. It could have been a serious accident as I just left that bed few seconds earlier. We were panicked for a while during that night. Moreover, it wasn't easy to lock/unlock the apartment door and the bathroom door. Other than that, the equipment was quite new, well equipped and great location to reach to the promenade. Do not bring your car as the parking fee is very expensive nearby.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We appreciate any and all guest feedback, both positive and negative. My wife and I own 5 apartments in Nice and we have been renting our properties since 2013. Over the past 5 years we have had more than 800 bookings for our apartments and have received hundreds of reviews. In all that time we have never had a review with only 2 stars for any property, so therefore we take your comments very seriously. I am sorry that during your stay one of the lampshades fell down onto the bed. As I explained to you at the time, this happened because the bulb had been changed, and when the new bulb was screwed into place the lampshade attachment was loosened. It is simple to change the bulb, but the attachment needs to be held still whilst the bulb is screwed into place. I am not sure if it was our cleaners or a previous guest who changed the lightbulb, but it is an easy mistake to make and unfortunately, whilst being very unlikely, these things can happen. It took just 1 minute to fix the attachment and put the lampshade back safely. As you know, I did take the incident very seriously and as soon as you told me what had happened I came into Nice myself to apologise directly (a return journey that takes me over 3 hours). However, to say that the lampshade “could have caused a serious accident and you were panicked during the night” in my opinion is an exaggeration. The lampshade is suspended over the bed and it is therefore at a height (above the bed) of less than 1.5 metres. The lampshade is not particularly heavy and even if someone was in the bed at the time it would land around their feet. Therefore, it is extremely unlikely that something like this could cause a “serious” accident. Similarly, I think to suggest that the apartment is “NOT properly maintained” is very unfair and frankly quite upsetting. We go to great lengths to ensure that our apartments are maintained to the highest level realistically possible. We are not a luxury hotel and cannot reach the levels of maintenance offered by a top hotel but we think our apartments are amongst the best rental properties in Nice and they represent excellent value. I am happy to say that the feedback we get from the vast majority of our guests is very positive and we have a very high number of repeat visitors. Best Regards, Mike (Owner)
