A family and dog walkers paradise, this is the perfect property for anyone who loves the seaside and the great outdoors.

The modern, well presented three-storey townhouse provides versatile accommodation, sleeping up to 4 adults and 2 children.

Just a three minute walk from the 2 mile-stretch of Blue Flag golden sandy beach, the property is also a stone's throw from the South West Coastal path which slopes up the hill, providing fabulous views. Local amenities include a butchers, baker, deli, fish and chip shop and restaurants/bars and cafes, all within stumbling distance of your front door. There is a wealth of activities for children of all ages including go karts, crazy golf, tennis courts and amusements. For golfing enthusiasts the renowned Royal North Devon Golf Club, set within Northam Burrows, is also minutes away.

Westward Ho's unique pebble ridge can be viewed from the double bedrooms. The up-and-coming seaside village is popular with families, dog owners and surfers.

The picturesque fishing village of Appledore is a short drive, and offers a number of pubs and restaurants, serving the fresh catch of the day, all nestled within its narrow winding streets. The quaint seaside village of Instow is also very close by, with a lovely golden beach, a variety of boutique shops and with access to the famous walking and cycling Tarka Trail. The market town of Bideford, with its picture postcard harbour and Pannier Market, has a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants offering a variety of cuisines. Or simply relax within the enclosed rear courtyard and while away the time.

This spacious accommodation offers THREE bedrooms: 1 master double with TV and en-suite shower room and WC located on the second floor. 1 further double with TV, enjoying sea views, and 1 twin bedroom located on the first floor with a cot (the beds made up will be two doubles unless requested otherwise).

Main Bathroom: located on the first floor enjoying shower over bath and WC. Additional ground floor WC.

Lounge/diner: enjoys large flatscreen TV with DVD, Freeview, PlayStation and CD player.

Kitchen: features integrated oven and hob, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Outside: the enclosed courtyard garden is reached via the lounge and offers garden furniture, BBQ and water feature.

The house offers access to free wifi for guests.

Amenities: allocated off-road parking space for 1 car. Bed linen, electric and central heating included. 1 dog by arrangement. Regret no smoking within the property.

Dogs are charged at £20.00 for up to 7 nights, £40.00 for up to 14 nights and an additional £20.00 for every week or part week thereafter

Why Kay Sutton chose Westward Ho!

Whenever you come to the house, it really is an opportunity to sit back and unwind from the stresses and strains of everyday life. My family and friends enjoy the wealth of outdoor amenities on tap from the fabulous walking, running on the beach, to surfing and swimming, paddling and netting for the little ones.

This is an ideal location for dog walking on the beach, coastal path and the Burrows. Walkers will also enjoy the variety of walking on offer including climbing Kipling Tor, a National Trust monument.

We enjoy having a range of restaurants and bars within walking distance including a little Italian pizzeria serving wood-fired pizzas, the village pub, Thai restaurant or delicious fresh fish and chip takeaway. In the summer we always enjoy a few barbecues and one of the regions renown butchers is right on the doorstep to provide the best quality local meats. There's also nothing better after a day on the beach than sitting with a glass of wine in the garden and listening to the sea. The house and the setting really do provide the most relaxing of holidays.

Comfortable home from home

We really enjoyed our stay here, the house is situated very close to the beach within short walking distance of local shops and amenities. Nice sea view from upstairs. There were 6 of us (from 3 generations) staying here and we were all enjoyed our stay.

We found Westward Ho! to be a lovely location, it's a good base for exploring North Devon and the beach itself was amazing, a lovely long sandy beach with fantastic rocks to explore at one end. Lots of rock pools and a sea pool built into the rocks - we spent a few days just exploring the beach. There were also really good waves for surfing/bodyboarding.

I would be more than happy to stay here again.

This was our third year on the run at this property.The house is spacious,well equiped,clean and in an ideal location close to all ammenities and of course the beach.We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone
