Spacious Holiday Cottage set within Thornham Manor. 3-5 bedrooms & 4 bathrooms

The Stables is a beautifully presented traditional brick and flint stable conversion, set in the grounds of the historic Thornham Manor in the heart of Coastal Thornham only a short walk from stunning beaches and 3 excellent pubs. Our family friendly home, has private parking for 3 cars, hand built kitchen and conservatory and an a south facing enclosed garden.

The Stables offers extremely flexible accomodation with the option of renting the main house with 3 to 4 bedrooms during off peak perios, or the main house with the separate annexe sleeping 10+2 (5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms) throughout the year.

The bright living room with a wood burners has 3 sofas and chairs, flat screen TV, DVD, music system. Leading off this is a games area with table football, xbox, games and toys.

The hand painted kitchen with granite surfaces has a double fridge/freezer, microwave, toasters, steriliser and double electric oven and hob. This leads out to a hand built conservatory with a large oak table seating 10 people. There is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, plus a downstairs loo.

The living rooms and kitchens lead out to an enclosed, south facing garden. This has a patio area with a garden table, parasol, reclining chairs and bbq. There is a a good sized lawn.

Upstairs on the 1st floor there are 3 spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The stylish master bedroom with super king sized bed, chaise longue and dressing table; with an ensuite bathroom (shower and bath). The 2nd bedroom has white wooden furniture with 2 single beds (plus truckle beds). The 3rd bedroom has 2 white iron single beds plus a wooden cot (cotbed size). They share a modern family bathroom with a shower and bath.

The loft bedroom has a king sized bed, with oak furniture and TV; with an ensuite shower room. Leading off this bedroom is a dressing room with a day bed.

The 5th bedroom is in the separate annexe above the garage. This large room has a king sized bed, oak furniture, sofa and TV/Kettle. This leads to an ensuite shower room. This is ideal for grandparents, nannies or another family.

We have set The Stables to be an ideal holiday home for our family, guests and friends. It is furnished and equipped with great care so the whole family can have a relaxing holiday. We have a high chair, plastic kitchen wear, wood cot (plus travel cot), stair gate (top only)baby bath and chair, sterilser, potty and toilet seat, bed side rails, baby bouncing chair, wooden play kitchen, den and toys for the younger children. For the older children there is an Xbox, table football, games and toys. All bedrooms have blackout blinds or curtains, so everyone can have a great night sleep and totally enjoy their holiday!

We are family of 5 living in Buckinghamshire. I had fond memories of holidaying in Thornham as a child, so after our second child was born we decided to buy a holiday home. We fell in love with the setting and location of The Stables. We lovingly furnished it as a home from home and continually upkeep and renew when neccessary to keep it looking lovely. We love our holiday home - it has a great family atmosphere and has many wonderful memories for us and all the families who stay there!

Fantastic family holiday home in a great location

We had never been to the area before and were looking for a spacious holiday home for our family which consisted of 3 couples, 2 young children and 1 infant. We were not disappointed in that our stay at "The Stables" was perfect.

The home is very clean, well furnished, very spacious and comfortable and in a great location to explore the area.

The owner was very helpful in making sure that our stay was enjoyable and without problems so we would thoroughly recommend this holiday home and will definately return.

Spacious, homely, modern and well equipped.

We hired The Stables for a long weekend in October 2016 for my Father's 60th birthday celebrations. There were 6 adults and 2 infants.

The property was delightfully spacious and beautifully decorated and we had ample rooms for all the family. Communication with the owner was brilliant and all our questions were answered.

The description was very accurate and we received an extensive information pack prior to our visit which helped us be prepared for what me did or didn't need to bring and also told us all about the property and the surrounding area.

The house was incredibly well equipped and child friendly, which was perfect for us and the owner made sure only age appropriate toys were accessible.

We enjoyed three lovely nights of family time and wandered the nearby coastal paths and beaches. We ate at 'Shucks at the Yurt' which was scrummy and took a lovely sunny walk along Holkham Beach.

The property is great value, clean and well maintained, we would definitely recommend and return again!

The Stables, Thornham Manor is ideally localted in the heart of the village.

Beaches

Thornham and Holme Beach can be reached by a 20 minute walk on the coastal path. Brancaster Beach and Hunstanton Beach are a 10 minute drive. The Queen's favoured Holkham Beach is a 15 minute drive away.

Restaurants & Pubs

We have 3 brillaint restaurants/pubs within a 5 minute walk, all very family friendly with playgrounds. There are 25 gastro pubs within 20 miles of The Stables.

Our favourite family attractions and activities are:-

- Crabbing on the Thornham Habour (5 minute walk).

- Visit the Queen's residence at Sandringham.

- A day at Holkham Hall - an 18th century palladian Mansion with boat trips on the lake, cycling around the grounds, fantastic adventure playground plus a great cafe.

- Wells to Walsingham Light railway.

- Norfolk Lavender with animals, playgrounds, interior and Farm Shops, Cafes and an enormous soft play area.

- Sailing at Brancaster Straithe - hire a boat or there are various adult and children courses.

- Seal trips to Blakeney Point.

- Day out at Pensthorpe - a fantastic nature reserve with playgrounds, indoor soft play area plus cafes.

- Bircham Windmill - climb up the Windmill, feed the animals and bake your own bread. There is also a cafe with great cakes.

- Shoppings at the renown Burnahm Market or locally at Drove Orchard.

- Trip to Wells-next-the-Sea - a delightful traditional seaside town.

Bird Watching

Many fantastic venues, including Holme Nature Reserve (20 minute walk), Titchwell RSPB nature reserve, Holkham.
