About this property

This old stone barn has been converted to the very highest standards into a beautiful home. From the garden there are stunning views of the local hills and surrounding area. Outside there are 3 terrace areas and a swimming pool with an adjacent summer kitchen and dining area all very private for peaceful outdoor dining.
The house offers four bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms one of which is disable friendly. The master bedroom has a large bath as well as a shower in the bathroom. Two bedrooms also have french doors leading out to the lower terrace. The showers are 'Italian' style, walk-in showers and are all finished in marble.
The kitchen/dining area is huge, with french doors leading out onto one of two dining terraces. The kitchen has all the amenities, including two ovens, two refrigerators, two freezers and a dishwasher.
There is a separate laundry room with a washing machine and sink.
The spacious living room has views out to the pool and french doors out to the lower terrace. There is a flat-screen television, together with DVD and CD players, together with a selection of CD's, DVD's and books in the large bibliotek (bookcase). There are two large settees, a daybed and armchairs.

Natural swimming: There are two local lakes and a stunning rock pool for natural river swimming.

Beautiful Villa

Lovely villa, very well équiped, both inside and out. The location was very peaceful, a car is a necessity as there is lots to see nearby.

A lovely stay at Le Grange

A wonderful base for a holiday in this fantastic region. It was very hot this week (30-35) so the spacious coolness of the Gite and the full A/C were much appreciated! The pool is huge and the deck area a great place to relax. Tony and Jayne have equipped their property excellently… there is everything you could wish for, and it’s very helpful that the kitchen is stocked with essentials and dried ingredients because the nearest shop is in the next village. Guests are encouraged to ‘top up’ what they use which is a brilliant idea! We quickly learnt that as this is typical rural France the siesta is observed, something to be mindful of. There are some useful village restaurants around but you need to book! The countryside is beautiful around Le Grange, and the neighbours all very friendly. Thankyou so much!

A great holiday in a great villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Grange. The large sitting room and kitchen were great. Having 2 fridges was a real luxury, one for wine/drinks and the other for food. We made use of the lovely pool and barbecue. Having to use the car meant we visited the local villages and towns. We dined in Lagrasse on 2 evenings, the 1900 was great with the large barbecue in the courtyard and also Le Bastion - a “fine dining restaurant” with a very cheery waitress! Mme at the Casino in Montlaur stocked everything we needed and the small market on Tuesday evening was worth the visit for the bread.

Wonderful relaxing family holiday

We loved staying at La Grange. It is a large, beautifully finished, luxurious property and we thoroughly enjoyed the space, peaceful location and wonderful outside space. The beautiful pool area and outside kitchen were an absolute bonus for our holiday, meaning that we could enjoy relaxing days by the pool as well as going out to explore the immense variety offered by this region of France. Thanks to Jayne and Tony for sharing their lovely property with us and making the whole process of booking and communication warm, flexible and welcoming. Thanks also to Phil as local property manager for his welcome and support. It has been a delight to start to explore this wonderful and relatively untouched region!

Fantastic property

We had a great time staying at La Grange, it is an excellent property that is very well appointed. The property manager is excellent and the booking process and access to the property was extremely efficient. Would highly recommend at stay at La Grane.

Why they chose this property

The property offers space and seclusion. With wifi to help the teenagers 'keep in touch' and consideration to our younger guests with a keypad lock on the gate to the pool. Air conditioning is also available for very warm evenings!
Plenty of room to eat outside with a fully fitted summer kitchen which is adjacent to the pool for those long lazy summer evenings.
Villetritouls is the most peaceful of villages, tucked on the side of a hill.

What makes this property unique

Le Grange is a beautiful home, it has been lovingly made with the assistance of friends. We love to spend time here when we can as it is so private and a great place to simply 'chill' away from our hectic lives. As a family of 6, we definitely needed space, which this home provides. The location is superb for the hills and the mountains, the city, historical sites, countryside…. it has everything within an easy car ride. Sometimes, however, we just want to relax and dangling our toes in the beautiful clear pool with the sun on our backs, listening to the birds above.
