Villa Margarita is a beautiful, luxurious villa very recently refurbished to an exceptional standard. The villa is located in a very quiet residential area but conveniently located just 10 - 15 mins walk from beaches, shops, bars and restaurants. The villa is also only 10 min drive from the airport or a €20 taxi.

Ground Floor

Kitchen

A generously equipped modern kitchen with all new appliances including fridge freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, oven and electric hob.

Utility Room

A spacious utility room with new washing machine, iron and ironing board. Lots of storage space is available in the utility room.

Dining Area

The spacious dining area is supplied with new furniture and can comfortably seat 6 people. There is also ample space to seat a high chair if needed (of which a new high chair is supplied free of charge on request).

Lounge Area

The large and well lit lounge area benefits from a new 6 seater sofa, new coffee \ occasional tables, new 50" LCD TV, new satellite box (with all English and Irish channels, including all Sky movies, all Sky Sports, all BT Sport, Setanta Sport and Premier Sport and At The Races), new Blue-Ray DVD player with a wide range of films available and a hi-fi CD system.

Ground Floor Bathroom

The ground floor bathroom consists of a toilet, sink and shower unit.

Upper Floor

The master bedroom has a very comfortable king-size bed, generous wardrobe space with lots of clothes hangers, hairdryer and mirror. The master bedroom benefits from direct access to a beautiful upper terrace area that provides lovely sea views. A new safe is provided in the bedroom.

Second bedroom

The second bedroom has a very comfortable king-size bed, generous wardrobe space with lots of clothes hangers, hairdryer and mirror. There is also space for a travel cot (of which a brand new cot is supplied free of charge on request). The second bedroom also benefits from direct access to the beautiful upper terrace area and has wonderful sea views. A new safe is provided in the bedroom.

Third Bedroom

The third bedroom provides 2 new, comfortable single beds, ideal for children, with a generous amount of wardrobe space with lots of clothes hangers.

Upstairs Bathroom

A new, modern, fully fitted bathroom with toilet, bath, shower, sink, mirror and power socket, with lots of storage space for toiletries.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi is provided free of charge and is boosted to be accessible from all areas of the villa, including the outside areas.

Air Conditioning

Two powerful, wall mounted air conditioning units are available free of charge, providing cooling for the downstairs lounge and dining areas and the bedrooms.

Outside

Private Heated Pool

A newly built 6m x 4m heated private swimming pool with solar pool cover is available. The pool heating is provided free of charge.

Sun Loungers and Parasol

Six sun loungers with padded cushions are available with a matching large parasol to provide ample shade if needed. The pool and sun lounging area benefits from a newly fitted, comfortable and very high standard synthetic grass that is reduces the risk of slipping and is very safe for children.

Outside Dining

The outside dining area benefits from a new large patio dining table with 6 new chairs available, along with a new briquettes barbeque and tools.

Towels

Pool towels are provided for outside use.

Each bedroom has 2 new sets of hand towel, bath towel and bath sheet.

Each bathroom is supplied with towels.

Parking

The Villa is located on a private, well lit, one-way street with very low levels of traffic. Parking is available directly outside the villa on the street.

Refuse and Recycling

Recycling facilities are available only 50m from the villa and non-recyclable refuse is conveniently located 20m away and is collected daily.

Water

Water is solar heated with a 200 litre tank, enabling 6 people to enjoy hot, high pressure showers within a very short space of time. A back up water pump and tank is fitted should the mains supply fail.

We are both professionals with 2 daughters based in the UK who have always had a dream of owning our own villa in Lanzarote, having spent 16 years as a family staying in other villas on the island. Having finally realised this dream at the end of 2015 with the purchase and complete refurbishment of Villa Margarita in Puerto Del Carmen, we now invite you to share this dream and our wonderful villa.

Villa Margarita benefits from a complete refurbishment and so is now fitted with brand new lighting, audio \ visual equipment, kitchen and household appliances, new swimming pool and dining and sun lounging facilities . All this, coupled with the enviable, convenient location and quiet residential area makes Villa Margarita somewhat unique in Puerto Del Carmen. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic Villa

We had a girls holiday to the fab villa and we loved everything about it. The bedrooms were all a good size, plenty of storage and hangers! and loads of towels for personal use and added bonus of pool side towels too. The kitchen was fully equipped with oven, fridge/freezer all good quality utensils., washing machine in the large utility room is such a bonus and we used it every day. We also had a few nights cooking in, relaxing on the patio and having a dance in the large living room.

We loved the privacy of the pool area, the sunloungers were great and the pool fantastic.

The villa is in a lovely quiet area and the closeness to the supermarkets an added bonus.

We have all been to Lanzarote many times before and stayed in various types of accommodation but this was by far the best and myself, my mum and daughters all plan to stay here again for another wonderful girly holiday.

Great villa!

As a group of 4 adults & 2 kids we wanted somewhere quiet and safe for the kids. This villa ticked all the boxes. Astroturf round the pool meant the kids weren't slipping on tiles, so a great touch! The villa is 5-10 min walk to the sea front depending on which way you go so was ideally located. Lidl straight across the road meant you could just stock up as & when. Ideal for just nipping over in the morning and getting fresh bread. There are a couple of bars & restaurants nearby within 2-5 mins walk. The welcome pack the owners leave you is great as it saves having to rush out or wait till the morning if you arrived late for essentials such as water, tea/coffee, milk, butter, bread. They even provided cornflakes & marmalade! The rooms are great size and the beds comfy. Upstairs balcony is flooded with sunlight all day and the pool area is too as it's south facing. We had sun from 8am-7pm! 6 sun loungers with mats gives a lot of relaxing space as well as the table & chairs on the patio for sitting at an having a bite to eat or chilling at. And the owners maintenance guy is only a call away if you need him. He was there the first full day to check all ok and replace a coupe of bulbs so great to have that available.

My only complaint......wish I had booked to stay longer!!!!

Great Villa !

Had a great holiday - the villa had everything we needed. The pool was lovely and warm and clean and our 4 year old grandson didn't want to get out of it! The villa was spotlessly clean and it was nice to receive the welcome pack and plenty of clean towels during our stay. The location is also excellent - hope to return sometime in the future.

Location

New for 2016, the stunning Villa Margarita is excellently located just a short walk to the beaches, shops, bars and restaurants and equally importantly a very short drive from the airport (€20 taxi) and just off LZ40. Although a short drive from the airport, there is absolutely no aircraft noise whatsoever. This convenient location provides for quick and easy access to the rest of the beautiful island of Lanzarote; the whole of which is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.

Activities

Some of the must see \ do activities include the Timanfaya National Park with over one hundred volcanic cones, also witness a bush explode above a red hot fumarole, watching water being spewed into the sky from a geyser and having chicken cooked by volcanic energy! The Mirador del Río a classic Manrique styled viewpoint on the Famara Cliffs in the north of the Island is a breath-taking sight to remember.

Markets

Lanzarote has a number of diverse markets all of which are worth a visit, these include the Mercado Turístico y Artisanal held in Arrecife every Saturday morning, Mercado Artesanal also on Saturday morning in the beautiful village of Haria, the Mercado Agricola farmer’s market is held in Pueblo Marinero in Costa Teguise every Tuesday, the largest market on the island is the Mercadillo de Teguise which is held in the old capital of La Villa de Teguise every Sunday, whilst more locally in Puerto Del Carmen the Mercadillo Municipal is held every Friday in the Plaza del Varadero in the harbour of the old town area and then there is the Puerto Calero market in the marina takes place every Tuesday and Friday. All of these markets can be accessed from Villa Margarita by bus or car and will take no more than 25 minutes to reach, the market in Puerto Del Carmen Old Harbour is only a 15 min walk away.

Puerto Calero

Puerto Calero is only 2.5 Km from Villa Margarita and is a beautiful, upmarket, tranquil marina with an excellent range of designer shops, and very high standard restaurants, many offering traditional Spanish and Canarian food. A taxi will cost just €8, or you can drive in just 10 mins or there is an energetic but rewarding cliff top walk, however this not recommended for those who find walking difficult. Puerto Calero is a real 'jewel in the Crown' of Lanzarote and is a 'must do' visit. If you are feeling adventurous whilst in Puerto Calero there is an excellent Submarine Safari to take in, also deep sea fishing and a sailing school all of which we have experienced and can highly recommend.

Puerto del Carmen

Puerto Del Carmen itself has recently enjoyed significant government investment with wonderful improvements to the 6km promenade, known as the Avenida de Las Playas. There is now an enjoyable, uninterrupted and flat beach side walk \ cycle route from Puerto Del Carmen all the way to Arrecife. There are several bike hire shops conveniently located on the route.

Speaking of investments and improvements, Arrecife has recently opened a new and stylish marina within its convenient 'city hub' surroundings. There are several shops, a supermarket, restaurant and a unique food court offering food from around the world. This is well worth a visit.

Puerto Del Carmen really does have something for everyone. There is a wide range of good quality and affordable shops, bars and restaurants that occupy the main beach front promenade. Most are open for breakfast each day and live music is on offer every night in many bars.

Old Town Harbour

The harbour in the Old Town of Puerto Del Carmen has a different, more traditional feel and offer to the more contemporary main promenade area and is only a 10 - 15 min walk from Villa Margarita. There is a spacious free car park that provides easy access to a good number of high quality restaurants in a more refined setting. This is a particular favourite for families in the early evening as there is a new and very safe play area that can be seen (but not heard!) from most of the surrounding restaurants. A particular favourite of ours is the Taberna De Nino that offers the best quality selection of traditional Spanish and Canarian tapas in the town. Reservations are often needed as this restaurant is very popular with local Canarian residents - always a good sign!. Later in the evening the Old Town has some good quality bars and an excellent live music venue "The Island Bar".

Puerto Del Carmen and Lanzarote in general has such a diverse range of offers it impossible to experience them all in one visit so our advice is simple; get out there, explore, enjoy and keep coming back to this wonderful place.

Minimum stay is 7 days and change over days are flexible. Bookings over 7 days can be accommodated and will be priced accordingly, proportionate to the weekly rate. The villa will be available to guests from 2pm on the arrival date. Guests are requested to vacate the property on the departure date by 10am. These times can be flexible on application subject to other bookings.
