Refurbishment finished at 7 Royal Victoria Court early in 2016. We have modernised and refitted the apartment to our own standards for our own use, so it has all the conveniences of home, plus the Wow! of high quality fit-out, including two ensuite bathrooms and a superbly fitted and equipped kitchen. The apartment is a one-floor, two-bedroom accommodation in a large Victorian house perched on the harbour cliff in the heart of Tenby’s holiday area. Access (first floor up from street level) is via stairs or lift. At the top end of Crackwell Street, you’ll be ideally placed for access to the promenade, the pretty, postcard-view Harbour and Tenby’s three beautiful Blue Flag beaches. If you really do like to be beside the seaside, you are going to love staying here!

Sitting smack on the cliffs over Tenby Harbour, with immediate access to this lovely seaside town’s shops, restaurants, pubs and other attractions, the apartment has spectacular views over the Harbour and North Beach, across to Caldey Island and even beyond to the beaches of North Devon. The substantial open plan living/dining room has double doors accessing a modern balcony where you can sit and relax, soaking up the seaside ambience and the outstanding view. It has an additional large bay window, with seating, filling the apartment with light and letting everyone enjoy that wonderful aspect.

THINGS TO DO

If you’re not down on the huge, soft-sandy beaches, Tenby has many other attractions, including daily (weather permitting) boat trips to the Monastic Caldey Island, or to fish or see other wildlife. Or maybe you fancy the climbing walls at the Overhang, on the slipway to Castle Beach? Tenby is well set within the Pembrokeshire National Park and offers a great base for exploring this beautiful coast and county, with its many leisure pursuits and attractions.

As a family, we often visit the nearby attractions such as Manor House Wildlife Park (meerkats, Sumatran Tigers and all the rest) Folly Farm (Zoo, vintage funfair and loads of other activities), Heatherton (many children’s and adult activities, from excellent crazy golf, through water-zorbing and tree-top experiences, to archery, boating and driving activities for all ages). Or there is the theme park at Oakwood, if you really can’t bear another day just relaxing on the beaches and eating fresh-off-the-boat fish at one of Tenby’s many fine eating places, such as The Mooring or The Blue Ball.

For a more sedate experience, castles at nearby Carew, Pembroke and Laugharne (Dylan Thomas’ home) are always well worth a visit, and offer many events. You must visit St David’s, with it’s historic cathedral. Tenby is on the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path so there’s plenty of wonderful coastal walking to be done.

A real Jewel in the Crown

Wow, a truly beautiful apartment in a stunning location and a place we will definitely be returning to. The owners were very nice and answered our enquiries and emails very promptly. Instructions on getting to the property were excellent and while there isn't any permanent parking available at the property we parked in the multi storey car next to Sainsbury's for just £1 per day and this was just a few minutes walk away so no problem at all. The apartment has been refurbished to a very high standard and offers all the comforts of home. It had a real WOW factor as you walked in and looking out the windows at the view of the harbour and beach is just beautiful. This must be one of, if not the best apartment in Tenby. You are literally right on the sea front but also just a few steps from the town centre with a whole host of fine shops and restaurants. One of our favourites was Cafe 25 which is virtually on the doorstep of the apartment and does the best breakfast ever, setting you up perfectly for the day ahead. There are so many choices of lovely cliff walks and beach walks nearby and the ever changing tides bring so much to sit and watch right outside your window. Whether you want a place to stay for an energetic holiday or a place to stay to just chill out (as we did) this is the perfect apartment to stay in. Having two bedrooms both with their own en suite bathrooms it's also ideal for one couple, two couples or a family. Everything you need is there and we found the apartment to be extremely quiet. We simply couldn't fault it in any way, it was perfect and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back!!

Fantastic apartment with great location and views. Kitted out nicely to a high standard

Had a great time at the apartment with wife daughter and mother. It has great views sitting over the beach and is a 2 minute walk to the town and the beach. Has everything you need, each bedroom has a bathroom so works well and nice open space for kitchen diner living room. Definitely recommend

Five star with very thoughtful owners

The property is everything it claims and more. The owners are very thoughtful from wine to milk and mince pies to a Christmas tree - it was Christmas! The view is arguably the best in Tenby of the North beach and the harbour. We had a perfect view of the the big splash on the North beach on Boxing day when many gather on the beach and surrounding areas to watch the hardy swimmers brave the sea with the Tenby lifeboat in attendance. Restaurants and Tesco Express are a walk through a passage and 50 yards away. The three beaches are superb. We played golf at Tenby G C and were made welcome. We walked, we watched and we read - a lovely break.

Beautiful!

Beautiful apartment, even better than the photos. Beautiful views to watch the comings and goings of the tides, the boats and so on at all times of the day.

Tenby is a lovely town with walks along the beaches easily accessed and although took an occasional visit elsewhere, just enjoyed the local area and coming back to the apartment to sit looking out of the windows!

Spent a lovely evening listening to local Male Voice Choirs in the church nearby. A real taste of Wales! Also a boat trip around the islands, which was fun in a very wet way...

I would recommend this apartment and Tenby to anyone as truly lovely, especially if you need an 'away from it all' time. Shelagh K

Fantastic location and beautifully decorated. A wonderful apartment

Loved staying here. The owner was very helpful both prior to my booking providing some additional information and during my stay when I couldn't find the cutlery (there's a hidden drawer inside the top drawers in the kitchen).

The view was outstanding and the apartment was ideally located for mooching around the town.

Why Jon Harlow chose Tenby

A trip to Tenby has always been a seaside joy. It's mixture of old-fashioned charm and modern facilities provide both us and our daughter with all that we need for a great holiday break. Royal Victoria Court is classic Tenby - a lovely old building in which we saw potential to develop a beautiful apartment. The views are fabulous. The picturesque beaches are a delight and you are never more than a few steps away from the bustling restaurants and cafes in the town.

What makes this apartment unique

The views (the building practically has it's foot in the sea) are absolutely to die for - we are still taking photographs from the balcony every time we visit. The apartment is in the best part of town near the best coffee shop, restaurants and shops, yet is waterfront too.
