Why lindsay chose York

We have tastefully restored this old barn/stables. Preserving as much character as possible yet bringing it into the 21st century..We have been brought up in the area and could never imagine living anywhere else.

What makes this barn unique

We were attracted to this area for its natural beauty and quiet and yet is has great accessability to local market towns and good road/rail networks. The views are stunning as are the evening sunsets. It is a beautiful place to live.

Wonderful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

Just had 7 nights in this wonderful cottage in Stearsby,Yorkshire. Modern, clean, spacious and extremely comfortable accommodation, a real home from home and a perfect base from which to explore the surrounding area.

Our hosts Lindsey and Marcus were most welcoming and really helpful, couldn't have wished for more. Highly recommended.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Brook Cottage was perfect for a week getaway, and is located in an area really close to shops if needed and days out. We managed to do something everyday with the leaflets that Lindsay and Marcus provided us with and the guide of places to visit. We would thoroughly recommend staying here again, the fire pit was just luxurious on the cold winter nights. This is a must visit cottage and is perfect for just a couple or family too! I would not recommend any improvements, everything was spot on.

Brook Cottage exceeded all our expectations and is in a beautiful part of N Yorks. Tastefully decorated, furnished and very comfortable.

We were blessed with great weather so made the most of our trips to historic York and into the surrounding countryside. Some lovely villages to visit as well as historic houses and gardens. We shall return!
