About the property

It has 5 bathrooms (4 en-suite), sleeps 10 (+baby). Large garden, private pool.

Detached, modern villa (300 sqm) situated on a quiet road within walking distance of the beach, bars, restaurants and shops of São Martinho do Porto. The villa has a large, south west facing garden which backs onto a small forest, giving the area a secluded feel. Within the garden there is a private pool (9m x 3m) surrounded by patio and lawn, with a brick built barbecue and wood fired pizza oven providing the opportunity for outdoor cooking.

The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, induction hobs and large fridge freezer. With sun beds and towels provided, the villa is equipped for all guests to use the pool and nearby beach. Three of the en-suite bathrooms have double showers, and a fourth has a Jacuzzi bath. Two of the bedrooms have balconies; the ground floor bedroom has patio doors with direct access to the garden.

There is a nearby fruit, vegetable and fish market held every day but Monday, and the large Intermarché supermarket is only a 5 minute walk from the house. The Rede Express bus that runs to and from Lisbon stops right outside the car park.

Nearby sights include the fortified town of Óbidos, the beautiful monastery in Alcobaça and the port town of Nazaré. For golfers there are four Championship courses within 30 minutes drive, with Praia del Rey and Royal Óbidos offering the best value.

The villa is fully licensed with the Alcobaça council.

Casa Eucaliptos is situated on a small development of quality detached villas, in a quiet area of Sao Martinho do Porto yet only 15 minute walk to the beautiful, calm bay and beach which is protected from the Atlantic waves, making it very safe for bathing. Many bars and restaurants surround the bay. The large Intermarche supermarket is only a 5 minute walk away and from here you can catch buses to Lisbon, Nazare, Alcobaca and Obidos.

Lisbon airport is only one hour drive on the A8 motorway.

Other beaches all within a 10-15 minutes drive are Salgado, Nazare, and Foz de Arehlo on the Obidos lagoon.

Alcobaca monastery is an UNESCO world heritage site and is only a 20 minute drive. Here there are lovely pavement cafes and pedestrian shopping areas.

Obidos (20kms) is a walled medieval town with a castle. There are lovely narrow streets with craft shops, quaint bars and restaurants.

A new road to Tomar makes this beautiful town with its wonderful Convento de Cristo only a one hour drive from the villa.

Spend your days on the golf course and your evenings in the delightful bars and restaurants around the bay. Your £ or € will go a long way here, with a pint €2, a glass of wine €1.50 and a coffee €1 or less.

Fantastic villa!

Just returned from a 14 day stay with 10 people. At no time did we feel overcrowded, the villa is huge! Very modern and clean.

We were met at the villa by Teresa, who manages the villa for the owner Mark. Thank you for the wine. Good communication from booking to flying out to the villa. Transfer from the airport is approx 1 hr 15 mins. Mark kindly arranged for taxi transfer for us from the airport via Teresa.

Car not necessary. Walking distance to large supermarket, which was very well priced. We walked to the Fish Market a couple of times and got some fresh fish to BBQ.

Beach and village centre is a 15 minute walk away. Lots of well priced restaurants, serving a good variety of food.

The bedrooms are all good sized with en-suites. No safe, but each window has electric shutters and the house is fully alarmed. Fully air conditioned. English TV and WiFi. Good selection of games for the days when it is misty in the morning. This is by far the best equipped villa we have stayed in!

This is a lovely villa, in a quiet area, but within easy walking distance of all amenities.

I would not hesitate to recommend and hope to return one day.

Fantastic villa

This was our second stay at the villa, we had stayed 2 years ago and decided to come back. Mark Davies is the new owner and was very quick to respond to emails. Teresa who met us on arrival was lovely.

The villa is very well equipped inside and out and has everything you need to make you feel at home. The outside space is lovely and the BBQ was put to good use. The welcome pack of water, wine and milk was appreciated.

The location of the villa is ideal as it's very quiet but is only a 5 minute walk to the supermarket and about a 15-20 min walk to the centre where there are lots of lovely restaurants.

We will be back again as we love the area and have found a villa we are happy to go back to again and again.

Fantastic villa in a quiet location

We stayed in this villa two years ago and decided to return as we were so impressed on our first visit. I'm very pleased to say our second visit was equally as good. The villa is very spacious, well equipped and in a quiet location. The supermarket and beach/restaurants are all within walking distance. We didn't hire a car and booked a taxi to pick us up from Lisbon airport and take us straight to the villa which was perfect. We do enough driving in the UK so it was ideal not having to drive for a week! We would thoroughly recommend it and are considering coming back in 2017!

Really beautiful Villa, completely as described

Easy to book and quick respond to emails from the owner Mark Davies and a really helpful and informative caretaker, who met us on arrival.

We were 11 people and it did not feel crowded at any time. The villa was clean and well equipped with everything we needed - pleanty of towels, Beach towels and lots of equipment for the pool.

The garden and pool area is fantastic with a great BBQ and pizza oven.

The location of the villa i perfect: 5 min walk to a supermarket and 10 min walk to a fruit/vegetables and fish market. 15/20 min walk to the village/Beach.

We had a fantastic Holiday and would highly recommend this beautiful villa to anyone - it is simply brilliant :-)

Beautiful and well equipped villa

What a fantastic villa, there were 4 adults, 1 teenager and 4 children in our party and everyone of us loved the holiday. It was made easier as the villa was beautiful, well equipped and very spacious.

Bedrooms were spacious, airy, bright and clean with plenty of storage space. Kitchen was well equipped for all aspects of cooking and had dishwasher and washing machine. Bathrooms were clean with plenty of towels. Living room was spacious, bright and plenty of comfortable seating. Under the stairs had many things to keep the children entertained in and most of the pool. The pool is were we spent most of our time and it was great for children and adults, we had many hours of fun playing in it.

The beach was about a 15 minute walk and supermarket 5 minutes which was well stocked with a great butchers and deli counter which was great for the BBQ's we had. Eating out was great too, lots of bar/restaurants to choose from. Also the ice cream bar was great, crepes, waffles and ice creams, kids and adults again loved it.

Both Mark and Teresa were great, all questions were answered and any information we asked about was given.

Would recommend this villa to friends and would definitely book again for our family.

A lovely place, completely as described.

The villa is lovely and as described. It is a flat 15/20 minute walk into the village, depending on how quickly you walk! The supermarket is a 5 minute walk away and is well stocked with all you need and a very good butchers, deli and fish counter.

The villa is well equipped for dining in if that is your preference and has a charcoal BBQ. Mark was very helpful with all our questions ahead of the stay and during the stay the property management person Teresa, was on hand for any questions and also very helpful. We text Teresa ahead of our stay to ask her if she could get a bag of charcoal for us which she did, no problem, we paid her when we got there.

The villa was clean, had plenty of towels, including beach towels, and lots of equipment under the stairs to keep kids entertained in the pool. Would definitely go back to the area and to this villa in the future.
