Hammerhole is a delightful, detached cottage nestled beside Lake Windermere on the Graythwaite Estate near Hawkshead in the Lake District. With five bedrooms including two king-size doubles (one on the ground floor with an en-suite bathroom) and three twins, this cottage can sleep ten people. There's also two family bathrooms, a ground floor shower room, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with gas fire and patio doors that open directly out to Lake Windermere. Outside, you will also find a utility room, ample space for off road parking, plus a patio garden with furniture. With wonderful woodland walks available from the doorstep through the extensive grounds of the estate, plus free fly fishing and a swimming pool on-site, Hammerhole is simply a superb choice for your Lake District holiday. Amenities: Oil central heating with gas fire. Two electric ovens, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and washer/dryer in external utility, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, WiFi available at Home Farm courtyard. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair. Ample off road parking. Patio garden with furniture. Shared use of estate grounds and facilities 20 mins walk inc. indoor heated swimming pool, table tennis room, children's play area, fitness suite and 2.5-acre trout fishing lake. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 4.3 miles, pubs 3.8 miles. Note: Fitness suite charged at £20/guest/week (£15 for short breaks), payable on site. Note: Pool open 8.45am – 7.30pm daily, with shower, 2 x WC and limited changing facilities. Note: Licence required for fishing, equipment can be hired locally, fishing FOC unless catch is made, then small fee applicable. Note: The swimming pool will be closed from Monday 21st November to Friday 16th December 2016.
