Overview

About the property

Spacious House in a quiet cul-de-sac with fine sea views only 5 mins to Beach

The House - Seaview our 1970s detached family house is situated in a superb commanding elevated position in Paignton village at the heart of the English Riviera with stunning panoramic sea and coastal views across Torbay. The area is renowned for its wonderfully mild climate and is one of the sunniest places in the UK enjoying much better weather throughout the whole year. We have owned Seaview for over 25 years and it has recently been lovingly completely renovated to a high standard reflecting the local nautical theme and providing all the comforts of modern living including full central heating, complete double glazing, front porch, rear conservatory, wood laminate & ceramic flooring, new kitchen and so much more.

The Welcome - A real Devon welcome awaits guests on arrival - Tea, coffee, milk and everything for a traditional Devon Cream Tea.

What to Watch - From the Lounge and Bedrooms (The master Bedroom is best) delight in the sun making beautiful sparkling kaleidoscope colour changes on the sea whilst the sailing boats, ferries, motor boats and jet skis etc criss-cross the bay. After sunset the various coloured lights on the boats traversing the bay also make a further delightful spectacle which is often enhanced by the moon reflecting in the sea. Rainbows over the sea are spectacular and we have had the pleasure of seeing beautiful double rainbows with both ends appearing to dive into the sea, we never tire of seeing these ever changing sea views and cannot imagine you will ever tire either.

The view of Paignton pier far below brings to mind the hustle, bustle and noise of the seafront but Seaview's elevated position at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac enables you to enjoy a quiet, peaceful and restful environment. Seaview looks almost directly east which often produces amazing sunrises across the sea in the bay for you to marvel at and in the afternoon you can enjoy sunbathing on the loungers in the enclosed back garden, dine alfresco on the garden furniture whilst watching dramatic sunsets over the hills.

4 Bedrooms - Large Master bedroom full-sized King bed, 2 wardrobes, bedside tables, vanity unit, stool, sofa bed, long mirror & room for a cot. Double bedroom with full-sized King bed, wardrobe, 2 bedside tables, hair-dryer, vanity unit with stool and mirror & room for a cot. Twin bedroom with large sliding door storage under both beds, bedside table and mirror. Single bedroom with full size single bed, large vanity unit with drawers & small table with drawers.

The 2 double bedrooms PLUS a twin PLUS a single make Seaview perfect for 2-7 people to occupy in full comfort. The Master Bedroom has been enhanced further with a comfortable sofa to sit on during the day and is convertible into a small double bed which can, in exceptional circumstances, be made ready- For further information contact the owners. Seaview has ideal room arrangements offering all the facilities and living space on the ground floor for comfortable occupancy by 2 to 4 people. About Mrs Jan Hill

I am a retired senior personal secretary and worked at Director level. I have enjoyed the many wonderful places that South Devon has to offer you whatever your taste.

My favourite local National Trust house and garden is Coleton Fishacre - don't miss it!

Mrs Jan Hill purchased this house in 1990

Why Mrs Jan Hill chose Paignton

Seaview lives up to its name having stunning panoramic sea views far out to sea across Torbay. I never tire of this ever-changing view with its kaleidoscope of colour changes in the sea. The sunrises are dramatic and beautiful as are the sunsets and rainbows don't forget your camera to catch these displays of nature. All this makes wonderful relaxed living which is made perfect by having the added pleasure of living in a quiet cul-de-sac

What makes this house unique

Only 5 minutes to Paignton Beach and there are 21 other wonderful beaches to enjoy in the area. Plenty of eating & drinking places to suite all tastes. A multitude of interesting places to visit and things to do both at the seaside and inland exploring the many castles and pretty villages. Don't miss Totnes and wherever you go don't miss the scrumptious cream teas

Great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The house is in a nice location and was easily big enough for 6 of us to enjoy our holiday. The house is recently decorated and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses etc. Excellent communication from the owner.

Great house and wonderful holiday

  • 5 of 5

The house is lovely, nice and clean and is in a good location very near Paignton Zoo. We made good use of the lovely weather and ate breakfast and dinner in the garden several times. We found having a bathroom upstairs and downstairs very useful and the house is very child friendly with a box of toys and books along with a highchair provided. There is lots to see and do in the area and it was really nice to have the tourist information leaflets available in the house. The owner was very accommodating and easy to communicate with and we would absolutely choose to stay here again if we come to Paignton in the future.
