Town: The village of Chirnside occupies an elevated position overlooking the River Tweed and offers stunning views across the magnificent Cheviot Hills. Charming cottage
We enjoyed our stay at Gardeners Cottage- it was comfortable and in a beautiful area, convenient for what we wanted to do. However I would say that much of the cottage could do with updating as the kitchen is very tired and the plumbing is creaky and inefficient, which was fine for a short stay but would be wearing for a longer period or with more people staying. There were no cleaning items such as cloths, kitchen roll or bin liners and the fridge was a bit dirty when we arrived. We did have a lovely time though and it was good value for money.

Lovely cottage
I stayed here for a week in September with my husband, 3 month old baby and dog. The cottage was just as expected and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage itself is a little tired but nothing major. A few very small improvements could be made like sharpening the knives. Also the duvet covers were a little thin. A spare blanket would be useful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others.
