The cottage is one of a handful of lodges that have been created within the grounds of a formerly notable Victorian country house - Eastfield Hall. Mary Rose Cottage has been decorated, furnished and fitted to an exceptional standard, and provides large and airy living accommodation with a comfortable feel. The property has three bedrooms, a bright and spacious fitted kitchen in the open plan living area, and a conservatory that enjoys a superbly sunny aspect and wonderful easterly views over open countryside and towards the sea.

Amenities: Oil central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, Digibox, DVD/CD, PlayStation 2 and WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen inc. in rent. Cot and highchair. Ample off road parking. Garden area with patio area, large front lawn, furniture and BBQ. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. Shops and pubs 2 miles. Note: Towels are not provided

Region: Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian's Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.

Town: Visitors to Warkworth can't escape the imposing ruins of Warkworth Castle – you can see them from pretty much anywhere in the village. Constructed to protect the inhabitants from marauding Scots and other ne'er-do-wells, the 12th Century ruins have found more recent fame as the location for Hogwarts School in the popular Harry Potter films; if you're staying in the area it might be a good chance for you to practice your Quidditch skills! While its origins may lie in the middle ages, Warkworth's most distinctive architecture is Georgian and Victorian, the pretty main street lined with charming shops, restaurants and cafés. There are plenty of attractions nearby to keep all ages amused from the bird watching haven of the Farne Islands to Alnwick Gardens and it's huge tree house.
