The area also has some beautiful walks, with the Cheviots, Scottish Borders and the stunning coastline all offering opportunities for walking. A safe, sandy beach is located under a mile away in Coldingham. The shops, museum and castle of the historic fortified Border town of Berwick-upon-Tweed are within reach, as well as Holy Island, the seaside villages of Craster, Eyemouth and Seahouses and the picturesque Farne Islands which are all an easy drive away. The lively capital city of Edinburgh is less than 50 miles away, and well worth a visit.
