A traditional stone Provencal residence converted and extended from a 16th Century chapel, spacious and cool. It provides ample accommodation for 6-8+ people, with three spacious double bedrooms, one single/double, large living room, entrance hall, open-plan modern kitchen / dining / family room, fully equipped with modern appliances. Outdoors you will find a covered dining /kitchen area, equipped with barbeque, fridge, sink just outside the kitchen. The house opens onto the large top terrace and is set on the hillside with magnificent views across the Luberon, vines, and olive trees. The house has an acre of mature garden, terraced on multi-levels, and offers seating in sun and shade, with places to escape to read a book or take a siesta. Swim or lounge around the 10mx5m pool, and children may enjoy the swings and tree house built in an oak tree in the garden.

The house is open plan with views of countryside out all windows. The through kitchen / dining room has French windows leading onto the terrace and out to the covered dining area with a table seating 8-10. The master bedroom suite is on the ground floor with ensuite modern shower room, as well as the second double bedroom and shower room towards the rear of the house. A very large double / family room is upstairs as well as a large single (with trundle bed) – both of these have beamed ceilings. These rooms share a family bathroom and separate toilet. All are furnished with modern beds and furniture. Traditional thick walls and shutters keep the house cool in the summers.

The house is situated in the Luberon in the midst of an area of charming chateaux, medieval villages, Provençal markets and cultural activities. It is a beautiful part of the world, backed by the Luberon with its fine walking, a rolling countryside of vineyards, long views and the amazing light of Provence.

The closest village is Vitrolles en Luberon, a tiny French farming village. Your boulangerie is 7 minutes away in La Bastide des Jourdans, along with mini supermarket, local fruit and veg shop, bar, tabac etc… The Grambois ‘cave’ is just down the road with a good selection of wines – made from the grapes grown just down from the house. The local town of Pertuis, a 15 minutes’ drive, offers a full range of shops including two hypermarkets.

The Luberon villages of Lourmarin, Bonnieux and Gordes and towns of Apt and Forcalquier all have a typical French ambience. Aix en Provence and Avignon make pleasant day trips.

We provide details of local activities, the daily Provençal markets; restaurants, activities for children; sports and cultural events. You will find leaflets about local events, guidebooks and maps to plan your stay.

This house has been in our family for over 25 years and is a family home which we enjoy whenever we can, So you will find a much loved house equipped for family living and we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Beautiful villa set in stunning countryside.

This is a secluded and private villa with stunning views of surrounding countryside. There are wonderful little areas in the gardens in which to sit with a drink, read or simply take in the views; and many lovely Provençal villages nearby, each with their own market day. Don't forget to take your bottles to be refilled at the cooperative wine store nearby! We found the villa very comfortable, clean and well-equipped. The children loved the swimming pool and exploring the gardens. Perfect for games of hide and seek. We didn't want to go home!

Lovely, lovely, lovely

We had such a lovely stay here! The villa was very clean and well equipped, lots of space. The pool was great too. It's an absolutely lovely spot, the views were stunning. It's a great area to visit too, don't get me started on the tomatoes at the market and what's not to like about an area with more cheese in the supermarket than I have ever seen in my life. We ate, slept and relaxed. It was bliss!

We are hoping to go back to the villa next year, I highly recommend!

Stunning property with superb views

Fabulous Provençal villa

The house is in a beautiful spot with stunning long views over the local countryside. It is so peaceful and quiet, and we especially enjoyed our aperos under the olive trees. There is lots to do in the area..... excellent restaurants, wineries, hiking directly from the house or visiting the typical Provençal villages nearby.

The house is very well equipped and the bedroom/bathroom combinations made it idea for multiple couples.

We had a fabulous holiday here and we have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

A Perfect Holiday!

We loved staying in this fabulous Provencal house. It has all the amenities and home comforts you could wish for but it is its stunning location which sets it apart; the views are amazing! Although the house is situated in an unspoilt area of Provence, we found it an ideal base from which to visit the attractions of the Luberon. We would definitely stay there again!
