Overview

About the property

2 bedroom apartment right next to the beach

Trem Enlli is part of a Victorian terrace built in 1875 and sat right on the seafront in Tywyn. This two-bed self-catering apartment offers uninterrupted views of Cardigan Bay to the west and the valleys and hills of Snowdonia to the east.

If you are looking for a holiday in Wales, then Tywyn really is an ideal base to explore the best of what this country has to offer.

The area is renowned for its natural beauty providing an ideal location for walkers, cyclists, climbers, fishing, surfing, sailing, kite boarding, bird spotting, golfing, and horse riding. Craig yr Aderyn, in the Dysynni valley, is a popular site for climbers offering 35 different routes of varying levels of difficulty. Is a gentle walk more your scene? There are a myriad of marked trails nearby which will appeal to both the enthusiast and those seeking a more family-friendly experience.

The nearby Dolgoch Waterfalls and Broad Water Lagoon have always proved popular with visitors and the famous Talyllyn Railway and Railway Museum is only a short walk from your holiday apartment.

If a more relaxing holiday is what you have in mind, then you may be interested to learn that the name Tywyn is derived from the Welsh words for beach or dune and Tywyn does not disappoint, boasting a Blue Flag beach (www.goodbeachguide.co.uk) which stretches five miles to Aberdyfi in the south. Keep an eye out for dolphins and porpoises - it's not unusual to see them on a daily basis in pods of up to 20 from early Spring through till Autumn, and so prepare yourselves a picnic, from your own self-catering apartment, and stake yourself a spot on the beach.

Do you have little ones to keep amused? Tywyn's leisure park is right behind the apartment and there is a children's play area next door together with a tearoom. So grab yourself something warm to drink, and maybe a snack, and sit and watch as your children burn-off some energy.

Please note that we are on the 3rd floor - but you don't get those views from the ground!

Whatever your holiday plans, we have it covered.

About Paula Ratcliffe

I am married to Darren and have two wonderful children. OK, not so wonderful, as they seem unable to pick stuff up off the floor, communicate without the aid of a mobile phone, practice good hygiene, or walk the dogs! Oh well … I am sure I will miss them when they've gone.

Why Paula Ratcliffe chose Tywyn

I fell in love with Tywyn many years ago and have been coming back ever since. Whether you are looking for a relaxing family break, romantic getaway, or want to explore this beautiful part of the world, Tywyn really is an ideal base for your holiday.

Not only do we have fantastic beaches & the Talyllyn Railway, but we also happen to be on the doorstep of Snowdonia - the UK’s activity capital! We have loads of places to visit, including word-class castles and museums, and offer a huge range of activities to enjoy the Great Outdoors - everything from angling to Europe’s longest zip wire ride.

Happy holidays!

the apartment was very clean, tidy and welcoming. it had everything we needed and more.

although I found the tv difficult to use my daughter soon worked it out. It was nice to see lots of information about the area in the info pack.

It took us a while to find the light switch to the stairs but soon got the hang of them I think this was because we were tired after the journey. We would certainly use this apartment again and pass on the info to friends coming to Tywyn

Owner's Response: Hi Jennifer, Thanks for leaving a review. I will make sure I update our guide with information on how to use the TV and ensure this is included in the welcome email. Will also include information on where the light switches are located. Thanks for mentioning this as it's something I hadn't thought about previously. Regards, Paula

Cosy apartment with fantastic views!

  • 5 of 5

Cosy apartment with everything that you need for a comfortable stay. First visit to Wales and we were totally blown away firstly with the views and then when we got to the apartment with the position of it - at the front looking out to the beach and sea - to the back the rolling mountains. The apartment was very clean and tidy - very welcoming and cosy. There is plenty for the kids to do in Tywyn with the play park at the back and the beach at the front. Paula also provided a folder with points of local interest and the best ways to get there. Very useful! All in all we have had a fantastic week and will definitely be returning.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. When I stay I enjoy hearing the children laughing on the play park. Always makes me smile. But you never get used to the views no matter how many times you visit. Always something different to see. Glad you enjoyed it!

Lovely views, well cared for apartment

  • 5 of 5

A well appointed property with many thoughtful touches, such as the seaside themed children's room and the hearts and butterflies in the main bedroom. There are lovely views over the mountains from the lounge, and it's lovely to open the bedroom blind in the morning and see the sea! The owner is very helpful and the guidance provided on using the equipment in the apartment, local amenities etc. is detailed and useful. We had a really enjoyable stay.

Happy half term hols

  • 4 of 5

Clean, comfortable and well maintained apartment, well equiped with a lovely homely feel. Good views, excellent postion. Made daily use of excellent local outdoor sports activities. Walked along the beach to Aberdovey where we enjoyed a pub lunch, beach time and crabbing off the pier - returned by train. Drove to Fairbourne, fantastic beach and walked up to the the Blue Lake; also enjoyed the Dolgoch Falls walk. Towyn is a lovely small town with everything you need including a regular Monday market - unfortunaterly, the fantastic hot weather meant we didn't get to the quaint looking cinema, maybe next time. The little steam trains were great to see and the local Honey icecream was amazing. Paula communicated well prior, during and post holiday. Would definitely recommend to others.
