This property is professionally managed by Ivy Lettings, specialists in central London vacation rentals since 2009. Here's a video of reviews from some of our clients: https://vimeo.com/90745841

Set on a wonderfully central but perfectly peaceful street, the freshly refurbished Linhope Street is an ideal choice for a small famiy looking to explore London from a cosy and well-appointed base. You are moments from Regent's Park; it boasts the largest grass area for sports in London, as well as the Open Air Theatre, and the London Zoo. Imagine having all this on your doorstep, as well as being within walking distance of the West End, Hyde Park, Oxford Street, and Baker Street.

Living & Eating

A beautiful wooden dining table (seats six) endows this London vacation rental with great elegance and even greater charm, whilst the cosy kitchen provides all the necessary requirements. The comfortable sitting room is bright and luminous thanks to large windows. A small but stylish patio leads out of large French windows directly opposite the dining area, and is a wonderful spot for early morning coffee al fresco. You’ll also find a utility room, along with a W.C.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Set over three floors, you will feel utterly at your ease in this splendid home. On the first floor, you will be welcomed by a luxurious master bedroom, complete with a superking-sized bed (6ft wide). A shower and bath, en-suite to the master bedroom, complement this lovely room. On the top floor, you’ll find two beautifully thought-out rooms; one with a king sized bed (5ft wide), and the other with twin singles. There is also a family bathroom on this floor, with W.C, washbasin, and shower over bath.

Access & Layout

Access is at street level, and there are three flights of stairs. On the ground floor you will find the living room, open plan kitchen and dining space, utility room/W.C. and patio. A flight of stairs will lead you to the first floor with master bedroom and ensuite. On the second floor there are two bedrooms and family bathroom.

On your doorstep

Marylebone is bounded by Oxford St. to the south and Regent’s Park to the North. Since the 17th century it has been a fashionable and vibrant London community with past residents including Charles Dickens and Lord Byron as well as Arthur Conan Doyle and his creation Sherlock Holmes. Today, Marylebone High Street offers boutiques, some of the finest dining in London and superb, well-stocked supermarkets for those who prefer to eat at home. The area also boasts Madame Tussauds, Wigmore Hall, Baker Street and numerous pubs and gastro-pubs if you need of a pint or some nourishment. Located in zone one, you couldn’t be better situated to enjoy all of London’s cafes, restaurants, shops, theatres and parks - you’ll be spoilt for choice of what to do with your time. If you have little ones with you, why not treat them to an afternoon in Hamleys, London’s most famous toyshop. Hamleys is just a fifteen-minute walk down the buzzing Regent’s St and once you’re there you may as well take a trip round the corner to Selfridge’s to treat yourself! When the weather is on your side make sure to enjoy the boating lake situated in the famous Regent’s park where you can enjoy people watching while bobbing about in your very own rowing boat. Oxford Street - the world famous shopping district - is a five- minute walk from the door and the twists and turns of quirky Carnaby Street not much further.

Great Neighborhood and Accommodations

  • 5 of 5

We made this our home for six nights, sharing it with another couple (late 50's to mid 60's) on our first trip to London. It is located on a nice quiet neighborhood street within walking distance from several nice pubs, a pleasant Middle Eastern restaurant and the Baker Street tube station (not to mention the Sherlock Holmes museum and the Beatles store). The location was perfect, giving us a good starting spot for our daily outings and a homey place to return in the evenings. The place is roomy and afforded both couples privacy as well as comfortable common areas. There are some stairs, but we managed them without difficulty. It is nicely furnished with homey touches and well maintained. There are all the necessary conveniences: Washer Dryer, Dishwasher, 2.5 baths, TV, WIFI etc. Booking was easy, even from the US and the good folks at Ivy Lettings were easy to work with. We were there during a warm spell and found the bedding a bit too warm for the evening temperatures, wishing we had separate sheets or light cotton blankets, but were able to cool things down by opening the windows wide at night. A great location and place to stay. We would happily return.

Location

The West End is instantly recognisable, to both hardened Londoners and tourists alike, as the physical and cultural heart of the city. From the world-class productions shown nightly at its myriad theatres, to the enduring appeal of Covent Garden, host to the trilling sopranos of the Royal Opera House. Be seduced by Soho's heady 24-hour atmosphere, with aromatic Chinatown and thronging light-filled squares and circuses. It can be easy to forget that the area is within minutes of the National Gallery and British Museum as well as Westminster, London’s seat of parliament, and home to Big Ben and the Abbey. Stepping away from the crowds one reaches first Mayfair, epitomising haughty hedge-funded luxury and, further north, calming Marylebone Village, whose provincial feel makes it a popular base from which to approach the hustle of the borough. Still, the area has not escaped its own exponents of tourist culture and is home to Madame Tussauds, Oxford Street and the Regent's Park London Zoo.
