Villa Lemon is a 3 bedroom FAMILY OWNED property that comfortably takes a family of six, with a large garden, a private swimming pool, several sun terraces with the breath taking views over the town of Soller and the UNESCO HERITAGE SITE Tramontana mountains beyond.

We pride our selves on providing the very highest of service and attention to detail, our messages are all answered within the hour and its not unusual to have an email "conversation" with us just minutes after you hit send on your computer.

VILLA LEMON = Offers the perfect holiday, with beaches, coffee shops, restaurants and bars all within a short distance, suitable for cyclists, walkers or beach goers , with water sports and boat hire Port Soller is suitable for all the family..

The gardens are landscaped with mature shrubs and many trees , we have Lemons, Limes (hence the name), grape fruits, walnuts and oranges growing in the gardens, there are numerous landscaped areas around the villa to sit and rest, to take in the views of Soller town and the Tramuntana Mountains which is a UNESCO HERITAGE site.

There is car parking in the shade of a car port in the lemon grove which is in the upper terrace and accessed via electric gates from a dead end road - SO ITS VERY PEACEFUL yet just a short walk to the centre of Soller

Nestled among the trees in the upper orange orchard is a Petange (metal balls) pitch for your entertainment, there is also a tree swing for the children and a child's skittle set to share.

The steps down to the villa are natural stone and is lit at night as is the entry gate and pathways around the property, once down onto the lower terrace you have access to the main entrance way and the two lower floor bedrooms. The third bedroom has access onto a separate large terrace which is above the main property.

The gardens are mainly paved with flower beds or planters, within the grounds you will find a variety of bright and colourful plants that provide both a pleasing aesthetic feel but also provide shade and privacy.

The sun terraces are equipped with hard wood furniture and a large gas BBQ, we have also purchased a visible flame type patio heater for the upper terrace which has a complete sofa set on its terrace and a tented Pergola, great for those star lit evenings when you just want to relax with a glass of wine watch the stars in the sky and listen to life go by.

Inside our home you will find a little touch of luxury with large solid oak beds and solid oak furniture, the dining table and chairs will seat 8 comfortably and a large well equipped kitchen will provide al the cooking facilities you need.

There is a log burner in the corner of the dining/living room plus an electronic temperature controlled radiator and a new TV with satellite connection WIFI and a play station for you gamers.

The kitchen is exceedingly well equipped - this is the home of a professional cook - with a counter top hob and large oven, new fridge freezer, dishwasher , Krups coffee machine, micro wave, juicer and enough pots and pans to do a banquet fit for royalty.

The master bedroom has a exceedingly large KING sized bed with all new HIGH QUALITY linens and bedding, storage is taken care of in the form of a large double fitted wardrobe and solid oak dresser. There is direct access from the bedroom onto the sun terrace via the large double entry louvered doors and internal double glazed doors. During the winter months the bedroom Heating is taken care of in the form of electronic temperature controlled radiators.

The second bedroom has two solid oak single beds that come together to form a double bed if required, again all new linens and beddings, with a solid oak wardrobe and dresser. Direct access via double louvered doors onto the side terrace which has bench seating and tables for the morning coffee or the evening BBQ

Bedroom 3 - The attic room , has two single beds that will come together to form a double if required, the room has storage via an oak dresser and open hanging locker - access via double louvered doors onto a separate and LARGE terrace which has a covered pergola and high quality lounge furniture (out side), there is also an visible flame type patio heater.

Sitting on one of the sun terraces and relaxing will take away the pressures of day to day life and take you back in time , the sounds of steam train whistles as the vintage train passes through the mountains or from Soller town as a tram passes the historic church on its way to the port.

Sitting among the orange trees you will hear the sounds of nature as the birds fly overhead, often the eagles soar overhead as they use the thermals around the mountain ranges to hunt.

On the mountain the goats roam wild, there are donkeys, sheep and wild flowers to wonder at as you climb the hills to gain a better view of Soller or Port Soller.

The town of Soller is famed for its fully preserved tram system that connects Port Soller to the main town and then onto Palma via vintage trains - many tourists come from Palma to visit Soller via this route, the main town is filled with cafes, bars and shops to suit all tastes and is a short walk away.

The port of Soller is a short distance from the town - originally built that way to protect it from Pirate attacks - The port is home to many super yachts and power boats and still has a small fishing fleet which sails everyday - there is also trip boats to Sa Calobra with its amazing hidden valley.

The beaches are popular with tourists and locals alike , chilling on the golden sands beside the azure blue sea , the beach shelves gently away and during the day a sea breeze is on shore , making it safe for children and ideal for water sports - all types of toys are available to hire from the beach or the marina.

A short distance away is Fornultx one of Spains most venerated villages - winning many awards and accolades including the best village in the whole of Spain two years running - with its beautiful old stone houses and amazing Church - its somewhere not to be missed.

Cyclists - The area is popular with cyclists in the early season before the temperatures start to climb, many making the annual "pilgrimage " to Sa Calobra to do the descent and then Ascent of the hill - which has to be seen and the local mountain climbs are equally as challenging. We have storage and small workshop facilities for cycles on site.

Walkers - you are spoilt for choice ! The whole of the islands is covered in foot paths and many local businesses specialize in guided walks - for those that want to do longer walks or those that want a short evening stroll , something for everyone.

Beach Goers - The beach at Port Soller is just a short tram ride away (5 mins) the sand is golden , the sea is Turquoise , yachts a plenty and the vintage tram passing along the sea front all the way to the marina, safe for young and old alike, just step off the tram straight onto the beach.

Water sports - EVERYTHING is here - boat hire - Kayaks - Stand up paddle boards - sailing ETC all within the bay of Soller, surrounded by high hillsides and then mountains , its a perfect sun trap to relax and enjoy the view.

Please note that most of the roads in and around Soller are very narrow and many are steep as its a mountainous region - our access road for example - when hiring a car we strongly suggest you don't get anything to big, I would advise parking on the roadside if you need a minibus or similar.

Why Ian and Andrea chose Sóller

We fell in love with this house the minute we saw it , once you walk through the gate you will be smiling from ear to ear, the first level is an orange and lemon grove with a boules pitch and tree swing.

walk down the stone stair way to the house and the views over Soller and the Puig Major peak of the Tramontana mountain range are spectacular , take a seat in a lounger and relax in our 900m landscaped garden and take in the views.

In the garden you'll find all manor of tropical plants and fruit trees, they blossom through out the year and provide fresh fruit , including Lemon, Lime and oranges , so pick a lemon , take some ice from the freezer, pour some fresh mountain water and chill out with home made lemonade (or maybe a gin and tonic )

The property has three bedrooms,

Bedroom 1:

The master bedroom is equipped with fitted wardrobes and a double bed , Oak cabinets and large mirrors, there is a large double door that opens out onto the patio and the views over Soller.

Bedroom 2 :

This bedroom has two single beds that can be used as a double or two singles to allow some flexibility for families of different sizes, again fittedout to a high standard with oak units and furniture.

Bedroom 3: Is the loft room and has its own balcony with double doors and spectacular views over Soller, this room is equipped with two single beds which can be used as a double.

NB Please note the internal stairs to the loft room are fairly steep and not suitable for infirm or elderly - but access is easily attained from the external patio doors, the ceilings are lower in this room than the rest of the house.

What makes this villa unique

There are few houses in Soller at this elevation, most of the surrounding properties are extremely old and the land is protected as the mountain ranges are a Unesco Heritage site.

Its ALL about outdoor living !

The mature landscaped gardens and terraces form the backbone of this property, there are several out door areas to wine and dine and relax while taking in the amazing views.

The town is a short walk as is the botanical gardens and shopping areas, Soller has numerous cafes , bars and restaurants, the tram line will take you on a short leisurely trip to port soller which is one of the most spectacular areas of Majorca and for many years a hidden gem.

This lovely place is situated on a stunning location and has a very clean and friendly feel.

5 of us stayed here for a week and all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We used the BBQ and found the kitchen well stocked with utensils and crockery. The outside terrace is spacious and so many comfy chairs are supplied for sitting in the sun or admiring the views. We walked into Soller most days and though the walk back was a little steep, especially after food, it didn't seem to matter much at all. We loved the boule up on the top terrace and used the pool to cool down in. All In all a super place. We never stopped feeling privileged to wake up to that mountain view, the bougainvillea and the scent of very clean fresh air.

Views to die for...

We've just returned from a fantastic 10 day stay at Villa Lemon. The villa is extremely comfortable with high quality furniture and fittings and a powerful shower. The kitchen is well equipped, not that we wasted much time cooking. There's no indoor lounge as such, just the dining table and chairs (my error in not noticing in the description), but we didn't spend any time sitting indoors though so not a problem. The outdoor areas are spacious with good quality sunloungers and sofa set on the lower terrace. Unfortunately the parasol was broken during a previous guests' stay, but we were able to move part of the outdoor sofa into the shade at hot times of the day. Ian explained future plans to replace the current pool with an infinity pool, another place to admire the view from. Yes, it's a steep walk up the lane to Villa Lemon, but the reward was the view, something we never tired of. It was also a good leg workout in lieu of going to the gym. Thankfully Ian was there to meet us on arrival he took us and our luggage up the villa (note to self; pack lighter next time just in case he's not there!).

We loved Soller, the town centre only a 10 minute walk away, a place that caters for tourists without losing its charm and character. We regularly walked to the port (45 mins) either for coffee and almond cake in the morning or for dinner in the evening. We would definitely recommend the G&T menu at Cava in the port and the food was good too. It was too hot to do the walks we'd planned, but the stroll to Biniaraix was lovely.

Ian and Andrea answered our booking enquiries promptly and were available by phone during the visit to deal with any queries.

We would definitely return, perhaps at a slightly cooler time of year to be able to enjoy more walking in the surrounding area.

Amazing villa, perfect base for exploring Mallorca with a stunning view of Soller and the mountains

6 of us stayed in late May (3 children, 2 parents and a Grandmother). We had a brilliant week and were very well hosted by Ian and Andrea who are very friendly and helpful. As other reviews have mentioned it is probably best to leave your hire car at the bottom of the lane until you have assessed the narrow climb up. I am a keen cyclist and hired a bike for a couple of days and enjoyed stunning cycling over Puig Major, Sa Calobra and beyond (top tip - Col d'Soller is a great climb 5 minutes from the villa). Our kids loved the pool and Port Soller Beach is a never ending playground for young children. My wife, her mum and sister in law (staying nearby) enjoyed some beautiful walking.

I could go on for ever as we had such a fun week, really hope to return soon.

Perfect villa in a perfect location. Beautiful terrace with stunning views. The pool was lovely and my two children loved it. The villa itself was spotless, well equipped and comfortable. Andrea and Ian are lovely and you have there number if you need any help or information. Overall a wonderful holiday.

Great stay in amazing property

We cannot recommend Villa Lemon enough! We stayed here in late September as a family and had a wonderful time. The villa is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Ian and Andrea were very welcoming and helpful and even provided us with use of a cot and high chair for our baby which was a nice bonus and saved bringing extra luggage!

The highlight for us was the outdoor space and stunning views over Soller and the mountains beyond, it was wonderful just to sit out on the terrace and take in the surroundings,use the splash pool after a hot day out or have a BBQ of an evening. Another bonus was that the property was well located for Soller town centre which is just a short walk down the hill.

There is also plenty to in the local area with a great beach and restaurants at Port de Soller, a beautiful old town in Soller and easy access to the mountains and lovely hilltop villages. One stand out was the train from Soller to Palma, our tip was to get the 9am train which was quiet at this time of year and left just as sun was coming out over mountains making the views spectacular. There was so much to do in such beautiful settings and we can't wait to return to Mallorca and Villa Lemon in the future!
