A beautiful house in a wonderful garden.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the end of June with our two boys aged 6 and 7. The house was beautiful and everything had been thought of. It was really well equipped, there was nothing more that we thought they needed to provide. The garden is amazing. Lots of room for the kids to run around, play on the climbing frame and table tennis. The pool was great, a perfect size with room around for relaxing on a lounger.

The resort itself has lots of extra facilities, but we were surprised by how expensive it was, 70 Euros for us to go to the slides and wave pool for a day seemed a lot.

Only a couple of restaurants were open as we weren't there in peak holiday season.

Overall, a great house in a perfect location for exploring this beautiful part of France.

Owners and the lady who manages the property there were extremely helpful. We had a small problem with the hot water, which was fixed very quickly.

Lovely villa and holiday

  • 4 of 5

The villa was beautiful and extremely well maintained. Tastefully decorated etc and had everything we needed. The pool and gardens were also gorgeous and our kids loved the table tennis table. We ate all our meals outside and enjoyed hanging out around the pool. The reasons it's not a 5 star? The garden overlooked the riding stables of Pont Royal, which in theory was nice but in practice meant an unpleasant horsey smell that never really left. It also meant a lot of flies and having to keep the doors and windows closed most of the day. Not the owner's fault, but nevertheless something renters should be aware of. We sort of got used to it while we were there. The resort itself won't be everyone's cup of tea. We dipped in occasionally, but mostly avoided the communal areas - pools, restaurants etc as it felt a bit institutionalised for our liking - but some people will love having this. The kids enjoyed the freedom of being able to wander out on their own (it felt very safe) and we did book them in for some horse riding and used the tennis courts early in the morning when the temperatures were still cool. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your comments regarding how beautiful the villa, garden and pool were. In terms of the horse riding centre, this is quite a distance from the villa. The villa has a particularly large garden with is secluded by trees and hedges. Throughout the many rentals over the years, at no point has anyone commented about smelling the horses. Flies are common pests in countries where average temperatures are 30 degrees. Afraid nothing to do with the horse riding centre. The villa is fully equipped with provisions to deal with any flies. Unfortunately you just get them in hot countries. The resort is an exclusive high end resort that is fully booked each summer. Facilities include a championship 18 hole course, a further 6 hole course, driving range, tennis centre, football, basketball, horse riding, archery, kids clubs, two large pool complexes with wave pool and slides, village centre with an array of restaurants and bi-weekly market, mini golf, paint ball, volley ball, aerobics, cycling, kayaking etc. Not sure I would call this institutionalised. Our kids aged 11, 9 and 6 absolutely love it! Perhaps it is not the beautiful villa or resort, but what some people are looking for in a holiday. Quote from our renter who arrived today..'arrived safe and well. House is stunning...not sure I've ever seen Darcy (their 4 year old daughter) so excited, especially when she saw the horses..'

Perfect house, garden, pool and location

  • 5 of 5

My husband, three children (13, 11, 8) and I stayed here for a week and had a brilliant time. The house is very impressive - all furnishings, utensils etc are top notch, the layout is well thought out and the air conditioning very welcome. The upstairs bedrooms and mezzanine were perfect for the kids and they loved the pool, swings, table tennis table, wifi and Netflix.

The garden is very spacious and leads directly into the Pont Royal complex. It's a five minute walk to the centre with restaurants, shop and various amenities such as wave pool, mini golf.

The surrounding area is worth exploring. We went to Les Baux, Aix-en-Provence and Orange all of which were within an hour's drive.

I'd highly recommend this property.
