About the property

Beautiful, light, open plan cottage with spectacular lake views.

Please note we no longer allow pets.

The Space

The cottage is set back from mature landscaped gardens with a large lake. You can take walks round the lake and beyond. There is lots of natural light at all times of the day.

There is one double bedroom and the second bedroom has a comfy day bed.

We can also supply a cot for a baby if required.

Guest Access

The cottage is entirely self-contained and its yours to enjoy for your stay. It sits on the side of the main farmhouse which is where my Mum, Dad and brother live. They are more than happy to help with any questions you may have if I'm not around.

Interaction with Guests

I'd love to help with any aspect of your stay. I travel regularly but will answer any email or phone queries as quickly as possible. My parents live next door to the cottage and are more than happy to help you with anything you may need.

The Neighbourhood

You will be in peaceful surroundings, well away from any main roads, so it's a wonderful place to relax, go for walks, watch movies and generally unwind. That said, you can walk to a pub in 20mins or take short drives to many excellent pubs and restaurants.

The cottage is attached to our family farmhouse which sits in mature landscaped gardens with a lake. You can take a walk around the lake and gardens which is one of the most relaxing things you can do!

The Georgian market town of Pershore is 10mins away where you will find a selection of good restaurants, take aways and No.8 Arts centre showing films and live productions.

The cathedral town of Worcester is a short 20min drive away. Shakespeare's Stratford upon Avon is 30mins away with its wonderful exhibitions and historical sites. The RSC and Swan theatres always have productions on and the Theatre tours are highly recommended.

The beautiful spa town of Cheltenham is 40min's drive away with wonderful architecture, shopping and dining opportunities.

Slightly further afield (40mins) are the breathtaking Malvern hills with excellent walking and views across Worcestershire to the vale of Evesham and into Herefordshire and Wales.

We sit 20mins away from the Cotswold town of Broadway and from there you can explore many of the stunning villages in a day. There are also great walks on and around the 100mile Cotswold Way with plenty of pub stops to quench thirst and hunger!

Getting Around

We are 10mins from Pershore and Evesham train stations which are on the main line into London Paddington.

The Worcester train station is 20mins away and is on the line up to Birmingham.

We are 15mins from junction 6 on the M5. Access from the M40 takes you past Stratford onto the A46 and towards Evesham before getting to us.

We can recommend Evesham Car Rentals who can deliver a car to the flat or to a train station.

There are a number of taxi services in the area which we can recommend.

About Ben Bomford

I love music, sport, travel and food. I'm recently back from working in Colombia and then travelling through South America. I enjoyed great hosting throughout my travels and hope I can return the favour back at home!

I am passionate about the arts and the outdoors and aim to provide you with lots of ideas to help enjoy your stay. I aim to create a warm, cosy environment to so you can relax and really enjoy being out in the peaceful Worcestershire countryside!

I'll leave one of my many (too many according to my nearest and dearest!) guitars in the cottage for any budding guitar heros to enjoy.

I welcome feedback so I can try to improve the experience for future guests.

Hope to meet you soon!

Why Ben Bomford chose Malvern Hills

I have been living in this cottage over the summer and it is a wonderful place to stay. The open plan living area is light and spacious but the large corner sofa makes it feel really cozy. The perfect place to relax and read or watch movies.

The kitchen is really inviting and I have enjoyed many days cooking and trying new recipes. There are some recipe books in the kitchen and I'm sure you can find something exciting to cook!

There is lots to do but because of the cottage's location, you will feel like you're in your own little peaceful world when you're there. Its a great place to unwind and get away from everything.

What makes this cottage unique

The gardens and lake are very special. I can't think of a better view in the morning to wake up to. Often there is mist coming off the lake as the sun rises. The ducks and geese are a pleasure to watch and, it is a very relaxing place to spend time.

Perfect romantic 1st wedding anniversary

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for four nights for our first year wedding anniversary and it was perfect. From the moment we walked in the cottage it was warm and welcoming, exactly what we wanted for a relaxing romantic few nights away.

As it was our anniversary we decided to go for dinner one night and Marion was more than helpful in advising us on taxi companies to use and information to give them to help find us.

Waking up to the view of the lake was stunning, we even laid in bed watching deer and pheasants running through the grounds.

The only thing that the list of facilities doesn't say is that it has a stair gate, wish we would have known this as would have saved us bringing ours from home but other than that I could not fault the property at all.

Absolute heaven!

  • 5 of 5

Have just returned from a 3 night stay at this lovely cottage in the most beautiful location. Cottage was spotlessly clean and equipped with everything to make it a perfect stay. The hosts were lovely and welcoming. and the grounds with the lake were just gorgeous. We were lucky enough to see the swans with their youngsters on the lake and a beautiful kingfisher. We had several walks round the lake each day with the dog and it was so tranquil. The location is ideal for visiting Stratford On Avon and the surrounding Cotswold villages. Will definitely be returning for another totally relaxing break.

What a wonderful cottage! We stayed with our 2 year old who adored seeing rabbits each morning out in the garden! Fabulous location and Marion was so helpful. We'll be back asap.

A Gem of a Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this spacious and bright cottage! It's exactly as it appears in the photos, but the gardens and lakes are even more extensive than we had expected. The views are beautiful, and the location is quiet and tucked away. Still close to lots of things to do - Worcester, Malvern, The Cotwolds, Stratford, etc. The hosts were what really made the stay. We felt looked after from our first inquiry, through the booking process and during the stay. We couldn't have asked for better hosts!
