Notes:
Situated in a very peaceful location and of immense external character, with limestone walls and an attractive slate roof, the 100 year old cottage has been tastefully modernised internally and combines all that is needed for perfectly relaxed holiday living. The cottage boasts a pleasant and secluded al fresco eating area with an all weather barbecue. Close by – a pub serving food (60 yards - hidden away though the woods!), woodland and coastal walks, Cumbria Cycle Way, the nearby Netherwood Hotel with its indoor spa pool and Jacuzzi, an ice-cream farm and the facilities of the Victorian resort of Grange over Sands, which include many specialist shops, promenade and train station. Get up early and there is a good chance you will see one or more of the deer that pass through the grounds. Barn owls, woodpeckers, jays, nut hatches are frequent visitors - especially if you leave out some food on the bird table - watch the squirrels don't eat it first!

Cosy cottage in a peaceful location. You have everything you need. We particularly enjoyed the bath! Thanks Andy for being so helpful and letting us stay for our short break. Weather was fabulous and we did plenty of sight seeing. A lovely base to adventure out into the beautiful Lake District. Steph

Lovely property which is more spacious than pics.

  • 4 of 5

The garden is a great asset and a tranquil place to sit and read.

The only niggle was that, with the upper bunk above, it is difficult to sit up in bed and read and there is no lamp or light switch near the bed.

Apart from that I would happily return.

Rented at first sight....

Rose Cottage has everything anyone wants renting a cottage. The rear of the property is surrounded with trees, giving a home to wildlife, Woodpecker; blue tits; great tits; Jay's; Chaffinch; Collared Doves replenish the perfectly placed feeders and watch them feed in their pleasure and during the evening hear the hooting Owl......Easy walk/cycle to Grange-over-Sands promenade/town. Short drive to all the magnificent Fells and glorious Lakes.....Or stay cosy in the cottage and cook with every required implement provided. We loved it....... Whether Winter, Spring, Summer or Autumn we will return

Lovely peaceful stay

  • 5 of 5

We had such a lovely stay in this cottage.

I stayed with my partner and 3 year old and we all loved it!

We managed to see deer every morning outside the window.

We can not wait to book here again!

Thank you so much Andy for letting us stay here!

A very charming little cattage . In a beautiful location .

Has everything you need to make your stay a pleasant one ..

Ideal for walkers etc ..

The only glitch I have if at all is the size of the bed I'm 6.4 and I found it rather cramped but that's it .

We really enjoyed our stay thank you andrew .. ed and Jayne
