Chic one bedroom Victorian terraced apartment on quiet street, home from home feel, very close to Olympia Exhibition Hall, Holland Park, Kensington High Street. Heathrow in 25 mins. Central line access to central London. Free wifi, and a warm welcome. Available for longer lets at Kensington Property Management.

Maclise Road is a beautiful, light-filled first floor apartment forming part of an impressive Victorian house in the very popular ‘village’ of Brook Green in Kensington Olympia, within easy walking distance of High Street Kensington. The apartment features a beautiful sitting room with unusually high ceilings and windows– giving the apartment an impressively spacious feeling – beautiful cornicing, a lovely south facing balcony and wonderful old wooden floors. This property is a dedicated, professionally run holiday full-time rental business, and not someone's home. Though we have made it extremely homely!

The accommodation comprises of an open plan living room/kitchen with exceptionally high ceilings, bathroom and double bedroom. There is a private balcony to the front which is accessed through double doors from the living room. Maclise Road is a quiet residential street very close to the Olympia Exhibition Hall.

This spacious apartment has a large living room and separate kitchen area with additional seating. There is a well equipped modern kitchen with fridge, oven & hob, brand new cutlery and crockery, and full cooking equipment. There is a new TV in the sitting room with all freeview channels, and DVD. Also a Bowers & Wilkins ‘Zeppelin’ docking station and Wi-Fi broadband access.

Maclise Road has a beautifully proportioned bedroom with high ceilings and a king size bed (made by Loaf, one of the comfiest beds you will ever sleep on!) and plenty of storage space. The bathroom has modern bath and shower, and plenty of hot water. Beautiful White Company towels, and 400 thread count Egyptian bed linen are provided

There is security intercom access from the street below. The property is cleaned before and after your arrival and Ana the housekeeper cleaner is available for additional cleaning if required. There is also a washing machine, ironing board, and bicycle available at a Boris Bike stand just 40 yards away.

There is a plethora of local shops and pubs in Brook Green, and also a short walk away on High Street Kensington you will find a huge array of world class restaurants and big-name shops. The mega-mall at Westfield (the biggest in Europe) with its extensive retail, restaurant, leisure and transport facilities is also within easy walking distance. This area of West London is within easy reach of Heathrow Airport (20 mins by car or taxi). There are many nearby Tube stations for access to central London, and one of the best gastro pubs in London, the Havelock Tavern, is in close proximity.

Fantastic location, great apartment!
This apartment is in a really great location. It is located on a quiet street in a very nice neighbourhood. We definitely felt like locals while we stayed here! There are 2 major tube stations located an easy 10 minute walk from the apartment on opposite sides of the neighbourhood, and these two stations are the only ones you will need to get you to anywhere in London within 40 minutes. There is also an overground train station 2 minutes walk from the apartment, which was handy when we used it to get to Windsor Castle. There are plenty of local pubs and restaurants nearby, as well as a well-stocked Tesco Express just 3 minutes walk and a Tesco Superstore 7-10 minutes walk away. The apartment is on the 1st floor (North American 2nd floor) of a building, accessible by one set of stairs. We did not have any trouble getting our suitcases up to the apartment. The apartment is exactly as listed, and it was a very cozy and welcoming apartment to come home to after a long day of sightseeing and exploring. Even though we stayed during a heatwave, the apartment was a comfortable and cool temperature due to the large windows in the living room and bedroom. The bathroom was spacious and had the necessary linens available, and the kitchen was well-stocked with cooking supplies and utensils. The owners communicated very well with me before, during, and after our stay, and were very friendly and accommodating to our late check-in. I would definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family, and I definitely plan to stay here again if/when I visit London in the future!

If stylish surroundings are a must, then this property delivers. The photos accurately represent the flat. Creatively and cleverly designed with a touch of English whimsy, the flat is a comfortable London-base and retreat for all seasons. We were there during the heat wave and didn't pull out the fan as the thick-walled construction and the cross breezes kept the space lovely and cool. Soft natural light during the day, the pretty sconce lighting plan in the living room/kitchen space makes the room cosy and relaxing in the evening. The bed is very comfortable and the neighbourhood quiet, as is the building. And the flat was immaculate. It's a few minutes walk to the overground station and walking distance to Kensington High street and other underground and bus stops but we lazily planned our outings from the overground station. There are also a couple of corners shops where you can pick up milk or a bottle of wine. Hugo was easy to contact and very helpful.

Impressive apartment
The apartment had just recently been decorated and looked amazing. Very high standard of finish and it was immaculate. Tastefully presented and close to some good bars and restaurants. Good communication with owners and would certainly recommend.

Why they chose this property

We always loved the fact Brook Green and Olympia have very cosy 'village' feels whilst still being in the heart of central London and with easy access to the rest of the city. There are two parks on our doorstep, Holland and Hyde parks, glorious in summer. You can walk to the heart of Kensington in 10 mins - so its very well positioned. It is fabulous for pubs and restaurants, very handy for tubes and trains ... and very easy for exiting London on the M4 or M40 motorways.
