Ground floor apartment at La Siesta Mijas Golf - 10 minutes drive from the beach

A superb ground floor apartment in well kept gardens overlooking the golf course only a 25 minute drive from Malaga airport. Newly furnished and decorated, the apartment offers 2 bedrooms (one double, one twin) with ample wardrobe space, 2 bathrooms, air con in both bedrooms, WIFI available (at extra cost), washing machine, lounge/diner, parking and use of 3 shared pools, one being just a few steps out of the apartment!

Great as a base for exploring the area with sandy beaches within a 10 minute drive. There is a bar and mini market across the road with a few other bars and restaurants within walking distance. Larger supermarkets such as Aldi, Mercadona, Carrefour and Lidl are a few minutes drive away. The Miramar Centre nearby offers great shopping and food outlets as well as a cinema showing English films. Fuengirola and La Cala are within a 10 minute drive, both offering sandy beaches, shops, bars and restaurants and a must is a visit to the nearby pretty hillside town of Mijas.

Malaga (33km), Puerto Banus/Marbella (34km), Torremolinos (19km), Benalmadena (15km), Seville (233km), Ronda (102km), Nerja (100km) and Gibraltar (82km) are also all easily reachable as are many other Spanish towns.

A lovely apartment in a great location with stunning views.

We stayed last week and had a lovely holiday. There are stunning views from the patio across the pool to the golf course and the mountains beyond. The pool is literally 15 meters approx from the patio which was perfect for us with a teenager. I would have been concerned if we had young children as there is no fencing/gate at the edge of the patio to stop younger children wandering across the grass to the pool, which at the shallow end is 1.4 meters.

The apartment is spacious and well equipped with 2 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, kitchen and lounge diner leading onto the patio. The main bedroom has air conditioning and the second bedroom has a fan. However if you like to have the windows open at night, there is quite a lot of traffic noise from the road which runs to the front of the block.

We were lucky to meet the owners of the property who were there prior to our stay, which was fortunate for us as there had been an issue with the electrics on the whole site affecting several apartments on the day of our arrival. This however, seemed to be rectified in this apartment once the washing machine, which was tripping the fuse box, had finished its cycle. We had no further electrical problems throughout our stay, but did not use the washing machine ourselves as we had no need. The owners kept in touch with us via email to check that everything was ok and that we had had no further problems.

Personally, we found the town of La Cala which is a 15 minute drive, and has a lot of restaurants and bars and a lovely beach, far more appealing and relaxing than Fuengirola.

Having stayed in this area last year we wanted to go back to Aqualand at Torremolinos but having driven there and seen the queues to get in, far busier than last year, the following day we opted for the more local Parque Acuatico at Mijas, which even though being smaller, was a lovely day out and gave our 14 year old Son the water thrills he was looking for.

Overall the apartment is lovely and well maintained, and we had a great holiday.

Apartment in a good position.

Apartment was clean and tidy and comfortable, view was beautiful and the swimming pools were very well maintained. The air conditioning was very welcome in the main bedroom but the twin bedroom could do with air con as well, as we played musical beds with my son who was far too hot in that room. Also quite noisy at night with doors slamming, had to leave the patio window open in the twin room as it was so hot and road noise could be heard.

Well equipped in kitchen, tv internet was terrible it kept stopping and starting, couldn't watch a full programme.

Bathroom showers are scaled up so had to clean one shower head to get a descent flow.

We are planning to install air con in the second bedroom in the near future, apologies that this wasn't done in time for your stay. We have now replaced the shower heads and hoses in both bathrooms. Lovely property

We have visited Spain afew times and were very pleased with this apartment. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and spacious and the apartment overall was lovely. Outstanding views overlooking the golf course and only afew meters from the pool. Looking forward to staying again.
