Syke Fold Country House sleeps ten guests in five bedrooms (three are en-suite) and is located just two miles from the cobbled centre of Dent village. Affording a beautiful rural setting this delightful holiday home is set in a large garden and offers views over Dentdale with Whernside (the highest of The Three Peaks) providing a majestic backdrop.

Accommodation comprises:

Spacious T shaped entrance hall.

Impressive 'country' style kitchen/diner with fantastic features including a multi-fuel stove, central island and range cooker (electric), along with a dishwasher, fridge, large table for dining with chairs in front of the double aspect windows letting the light flood in.

Utility room with fridge/ freezer, microwave and washer/dryer.

Living room with multi-fuel stove for cosy nights in, comfy seating, TV, DVD player and double doors.

Garden room at the rear of the property with stone floor and under floor heating. There is a ground floor WC, leading through to...

The library and second reception room are split across two levels with a vaulted ceiling, multi-fuel stove, table and chairs, plus under floor heating.

En-suite double bedroom on the ground floor.

Upstairs

Master bedroom which is a light and airy dual aspect room with super-king size bed, small dressing area with wardrobes and en-suite.

Bedroom three with king-size bed and views over the rear garden.

Bedroom four is an en-suite twin with a bath and garden views.

Bathroom with bath and separate shower, Jack and Jill doors with bedroom four.

Outside: A big enclosed garden (garden furniture provided) is the ideal place during the summer months. There is a herb garden, pond, garage providing bike storage and drive where you can park several cars.

When you visit Dentdale you will find yourself immersed in stunning scenery, natural beauty, deep heritage and the culture of a Dales community that has over many years attracted painters, poets and musicians. Dentdale provides the ideal place to escape the pressures of everyday life and is perfectly placed in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, on the edge of Cumbria, providing a convenient base for visiting no only the many attractions of the Dales, but also The Lake District National Park with Windermere only 25 miles away.

Here you can relax and unwind amongst breath taking scenery; spend your days strolling through rolling countryside, enjoying riverside walks, or exploring the towns and hills in the nearby Dales and Lakes - every day escaping the crowds to return back to your own little corner of peace and tranquility.

There are plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy in the area which is a haven for walkers where stunning countryside and wildlife abound. A vast array of footpaths criss cross the landscape allowing you to explore the area including the Heritage Trail and intriguing Flintergill. Alternatively, take a more sedate stroll alongside the River Dee. Cycling is another popular pursuit with pretty country lanes for a leisurely ride and off-road tracks providing an excellent way of experiencing the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and also the Pennine Cycleways which call be accessed directly via Dentdale village.

The Settle-Carlisle Railway passes through Dentdale (stopping at its station which is the highest in England!) and is one of the most spectacular railway journeys in the world. You can take a train to Carlisle or Leeds for a great day out and sit back and enjoy the stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales and Pennines on your way.

Dent Village has a Heritage Centre which reveals the working lives of the Dale's people since the 16th Century and the Meditation Centre which is an ideal place for quiet contemplation. The village also has three pubs and two cafes offering the opportunity to enjoy a meal out or pint of local ale at the end of a long walk!

With wonderful walking, spectacular scenery and so many places within easy reach both within the Yorkshire Dales and Cumbria, you are sure to want to return time and time again to this peaceful paradise.
