Sunset offers 5 bedrooms with 3 ensuites as well as main bathroom and cloakroom

Sunset offers large families and friends wishing to come together the perfect ambiance to be able to enjoy each others company in the extensive open plan living and dining area whilst cooking a feast in the well equipped kitchen, which also offers an American style fridge freezer as well and a washing machine and tumble dryer.

There is seating for 10 guests either in the dining room or on the garden deck that also offers a gas BBQ. You may choose to relax in the comfortable lounge area on the amazing multi coloured suite before retiring for the night. A section of the suite unfolds to provide a comfortable double bed.

The master en-suite offers a 6' modern bed which leads down to a spacious bathroom with walk-in shower, bath and separate wc. The second en-suite bedroom offers a 5' modern bed with an en-suite shower room. Bedrooms 3 and 4 and located on the third floor and are offered as twin beds or zip and link doubles. Located on the second floor in the family bathroom that offers a walk-in shower and a bath.

Views across Shanklin Downs and the sea can be seen from bedrooms at the front of the house.

The well maintained enclosed garden offers security for both pets and children.

There is off road parking available for up to 3 cars

Unlimited Internet is available in addition to a DVD player and Ipad docking system

About Carol

The original property was built in 1856 and for many years from the 1960s until 1996 this property was used as a ten bedroom hotel. We bought the property in 2003, and in 2011/12 we extended the existing property and converted it into two houses. The houses were completely refurbished to a high standard and offer a luxurious environment in which to live.

Carol purchased this house in 2003

Why Carol chose Shanklin

After the conversion was completed in 2012 the property was attractively furnished to provide high quality rental accommodation. The business has been running since 2012 and guests are impressed with the quality of the spacious interior. Each year we strive to improve the quality of the accommodation.

Close proximity to the cliff path and beach are a big favourite with families with young children, there is no need to use the car or look for a parking space.

What makes this house unique

Large secure well maintained garden with hanging baskets in season.

The spacious lounge, diner, kitchen is an impressive 50' in length with high vaulted ceilings.

High levels of insulation provide a cosy environment in colder weather.

We travelled (6 adults and 2 children) to the Isle of Wight for my Dad's 60th birthday.

Carol was so helpful and accommodating. She changed one of the twin rooms to a double for us and was really pleasant through messaging and on our day of arrival.

The house is simply stunning.

Great space for cars ideal for unloading lots of luggage. The through kitchen diner, lounge room is so lovely. The ceiling is really high and the extra living space was perfect for our children to play with their toys.

Beds, bathrooms, decoration and cleanliness are all spot on and was it the prefect location for Shanklin and the beach.

Would whole heartedly recommend this place.

Excellent and faultless!

Location was perfect! A lovely seaview from the bedrooms and only a short walk down the cliff path to the beach to some excellent eaterys. The property was immaculate upon our arrival, a useful welcome basket was very much appreciated. The excellent facilities made our holiday perfect. It was like home from home with blenders, a slow cooker and a BBQ, the fact that picnic plates and plastic cups were provided was an added bonus and they made days out so much easier. The owners obviously take great care of the property and do everything to make their guests happy and comfortable.

The island caterers for visitors of every age ( we had three generations of our family) and I would certainly, unreservedly, recommend a visit and a stay.

Amazing house for all of the family to enjoy!

We booked this house for a long overdue family long weekend away, the Isle of Wight is somewhere we used to go as kids and my dad has been desperate to return with us all! So it was a very nostalgic trip! We struggled to find anywhere big enough for us all which would allow pets which is the main reason for choosing this house to rent and we were so glad we did! The house is huge, easy to get lost which my little nephew loved hiding in. The lounge and kitchen has been designed perfectly and was such a great hub of the house where everyone could do their own thing without it being too cramped. Great location as well, the cliff top cafe / bar up the road is definitely recommended. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit the Isle of Wight!

fantastic house that we all wanted to live in!

Carol was easily contactable before arrival and during our stay with taxi numbers etc.

The house is so impressive when you first walk in and then throughout

We were 7 girls and we had plenty of room and loved the bathrooms.

We had the best holiday and the house really made it.

A beautiful, relaxed house

We were two families travelling in half term and found the house a perfect fit for us all. From the teenagers to grownups there was so much room. The beds were really comfortable and the kitchen amazingly well equipped A great location for a few minute walk to the most beautiful beach and Shanklin is in easy reach of many Island attractions. We would highly recommend the house and we will definitely be back next year

Lovely house - great holiday

I stayed at Carol and Colin's property for a week with my husband, 2 children and my parents. The house was beautifully kept and so spacious. My parents really appreciated the downstairs loo and the en suite bathroom and we all enjoyed the gorgeous garden.

The kitchen was really well equipped and laid out and made catering for us all easy.

Finally, we loved the location of the house. A 5 minute walk to the beach and close to the high street.

I thoroughly recommend this house - it is certainly spacious enough to accommodate 8-10 easily and is so beautifully kept and presented that you feel that you are staying somewhere very special ( my 5 year old kept telling me how "posh it was!).

Spacious in a Perfect Location

The house surpassed our expectations and was beautiful. Very well equipped with towels, hair dryers and every kitchen accessory that we needed. We also used the gas barbecue and the children enjoyed the garden. It is in a perfect location with the cliff path at the end of the road and Shanklin beach about 5 mins walk, train station about 5 mins walk and Shanklin town about 10 mins walk. For the more energetic Sandown is about 40 mins walk. There was plenty of parking at the house, we had 3 cars and had no problems. We are definitely putting this house on our list of places to come back to and will be telling our family and friends all about it.
