About the property

Open plan living with two en suite bedrooms in the National park with lake views

Buzzard cottage is located on a private 84 acre hillside estate overlooking the Lake of Menteith and cosily nestled in the Trossachs hills. It's a Perfect location for exploring the National Park on foot, bikes or by car. The cottage has been recently completely refurbished and decorated with the finest Scottish Interiors. There are 2 large en suite bedrooms upstairs. Bedroom 1 has a king size bed. Bedroom 2 has one king size bed and 1 single bed. Decor in Room 1 tends to be crisp white bed linens, and thistle cushions on the beautiful grey fayence bed, whereas Bedroom 2 has a rustic stag theme with faux fur and antler accents. The ground floor has a sociable open plan design and is compromised of the newly fitted kitchen, lounge and dining area. The original stone walls are intact adding a beautifully rustic feel which is complimented perfectly by the wood burning stove. Buzzard cottage is suited for a family of up to 5 people or two couples. There is a large dining table outside with two benches, beautiful flower pots and plenty space for a BBQ and relaxing. The views from the garden are magnificent. There is much to do in the area for families for example, hiking, water sports, mountain bike hire, safari parks and adventure playgrounds, Go Ape and much more.

We are on hand for a chat if you'd like to tell us about your Trossachs adventures at the end of a day, however we similarly respect those who wish the ultimate peace and tranquility. We look forward to welcoming you to Nether Glenny.

A dramatic cottage in a beautiful setting

  • 5 of 5

This spacious cottage is a fabulous redo of an old stone building. Every detail was special from the lovely decorating to the very high end kitchen. The property is up a long single track drive and offers a panoramic view. The space is actually huge as there are two large bedrooms upstairs with lovely wood walls and ceilings. The roof slopes but there is adequate height and excellent operable skylights. Some details that make the property first rate include a heated stone floor on the first level. The building includes two other units but there is total separation and privacy. It's rare to find an accommodation that is part of the destination. The owners were there to greet us as planned. They live in an adjacent house and were friendly but left us our privacy. The internet was a little fussy but worked. We think this place was very fairly priced and deserves top ratings.

Owner's Response: Hello and thank you for this wonderful review. You've pointed out so many features of Nether Glenny and of Buzzard cottage in particular. I am sure that future guests will find your review very useful. In addition, Matthew and I were delighted with your presentation of the comments that you left in the guests book. I wondered if the style of writing is calligraphy. You also gave future guests some handy recommendations. Thank you for this. It was a pleasure to meet you both and Matthew and I are genuinely pleased that you enjoyed your stay here. It sounds like all in all you had a lovely holiday in Scotland. Very best wishes to you both. Alison and Matthew Woods.

Schöne Unterkunft, gute Lage, nette Vermieter, tolle Ausblicke

  • 4 of 5
