We love our home that is located in one of Copenhagen´s most charming areas and reflects our interests in art. litteratur and music.
We will do our best to make your stay as comfortable as possible and hope you´ll love it as much as we do. "Mi casa su casa."
The apartment is located in one of the most charming and popular areas of the city.
The narrow cobbled streets, the Michelin-starred restaurants and cozy cafes, along with the beautiful views of the famous and fairytalelike "Our Saviors Church" and the characteristic Copenhagen canals, makes this a very attractive location both for the Danes and visitors just passing by.
Many artists and other creative souls live in Christianshavn which contributes to it´s laid back, friendly and inspiring atmosphere.
It is central, full of bars, with a unique maritime atmosphere and only a few steps away from Nyhavn, Christiania, The Royal Danish Opera House/Theatre/Ballet.
I wish I could give more than 5 stars, beautiful home, great location and best of all, Mads and Micaela, what wonderful, helpful people. We feel as if we have made new friends in Denmark in the process.
We really enjoyed our trip to Copenhagen and this beautiful home was a true highlight. It was cozy and comfortable, very spacious and light filled. It has a wonderful central location and the metro is just across the street. We loved getting pastries and coffee from the bakery across the street in the mornings. Mag was a great host as well. Thanks so much!
Great central location made it easy to walk all over the city. The metro is just across the street to get to the outer areas. Cafes, restaurants, landmarks, bars, supermarkets, great wine shop and deli are close. We loved the spot and loved Copenhagen!
From the moment we stepped through the door of this absolutely stunning apartment, we knew it was going to make our first stay in Copenhagen very special indeed. This is an apartment that is clearly both loved and enjoyed by its owners.
Every single detail is a real treat - spacious, quiet, light filled rooms with wonderful views across Christensen’s canals, bike lanes and bustling streets. Iconic Danish furniture, books for endless inspiration, super fast broadband, in fact everything needed to ensure you really couldn’t want for more. The beds were some of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in away from home, and we found the entire apartment spotlessly clean.
The location is perfect, literally 15 minutes from airport to door via Metro. It’s exceptionally well placed for exploring the city - walk in to the central shopping area, explore bohemian Christiania or just wander around the neighbourhood - you’ve even got the Museum of Danish Architecture on your doorstep together with some of the best restaurants in Copenhagen including 108, Noma and a real local gem, Sankt Annae 8.
Wake up and smell the coffee, quite literally. You’ll discover one of the best coffee shops and bakeries right across the street, but beware, the pastries and cakes are ridiculously moreish and had us all wanting a fix every morning, even when we knew we were going to Von Fressen for a long, relaxed brunch.
Mads, our host met us when we arrived and really couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. He proudly introduced us to our home for the week and was always at the end of the phone when we needed to ask him anything, including local insights.
Our entire family fell in love with Copenhagen, the Danish way of life and not least, this apartment. It left us wanting to return time and time again, and when we do, we’ll be returning to Mads’ apartment I hope!
Cozy, comfortable and spacious apartment in a great location. Owner was very welcoming and helpful. Metro right across the street, coffee shop, grocery, bakers, and restaurants all close by. We loved Paper Island/Copenhagen Street Food, also had a great meal at Pluto. Would stay here again!!
The owners were prompt in replying to our queries and very welcoming and helpful.
The apartment was very comfortable, spacious and bright. We have three children (13,10 and 3) and it was ideal for our needs. In terms of location, it's difficult to imagine anything much better. The apartment is literally a stone's throw away from the metro station 'Christianshavn', bang in the centre of the metro system. You can travel directly to this metro stop from Copenhagen airport so getting here is simple, just a 15 minute journey. The bus stop, outside the metro station, services two of the main routes to major attractions so is also very handy.
The apartment overlooks the Christianshavn canal and we had many enjoyable walks along the canal side. To top it off, there's a great coffee shop at the base of the apartment block, an excellent baker just across the road and a supermarket next to the metro station. Our morning ritual was coffee and Danish pastries:-)
There are lots of great restaurants near the apartment - including Noma, frequently voted the best restaurant in the world and Era Ora, an Italian restaurant considered one of the best in Copenhagen. Book well in advance for these, obviously. One of our favourite eating experiences was at 'Copenhagen Street Food', a 10 minute walk along the canal where you can try many different types of cuisine in a chilled environment.
One other thing, for those who are interested, the wifi connection in the apartment is insanely fast - in excess of 120 Mbps. Perhaps that's normal for Copenhagen but, as an IT worker, I was impressed!
We would not hesitate to return here for our next trip to Copenhagen.
