A light, airy and homely Victorian 2 bedroom stone house house in upper Buxton. The house sleeps up to 4 people in one double bed and 2 single beds offering a flexible alternative to a local hotel or Bed and breakfast. There is a well equipped kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, and crockery and extendible dining table and full size dishwasher. There is street parking and a large car park at the end of the street. There are plenty of shops just a few minutes walk away but all local amenities including the fantastic Buxton Opera House and the historic Pavilion Gardens are less than 10 minutes walk away.

Knus huisje

Harris Hideaway is een leuk, knus huisje vlakbij het centrum van Buxton in een rustige straat en op loopafstand van de Pavillion Gardens en Opera House. Op de begane grond een huiskamer en aparte keuken voorzien van alle benodigde elektrische apparaten. Boven twee slaapkamers en een badkamer. De bedden waren bij aankomst opgemaakt en er waren voldoende handdoeken aanwezig, alles zag er prima uit. Parkeren in de straat of op het nabijgelegen plein, door de eigenaar waren we al geïnformeerd dat het betaald parkeren is overdag en dat parkeerwachters zeer actief zijn. Sowieso was de informatie die de eigenaar vooraf had gegeven zeer uitgebreid en in het huis lag ook nog een map met nog meer informatie, ook over de regio en suggesties m.b.t. restaurants. Nog een tip: als je van het vasteland komt, neem dan wel een aantal adapters mee zodat je je eigen elektrische apparaten kunt gebruiken (vooral om telefoon of tablet op te laden zeer belangrijk), deze waren in het huis niet aanwezig. Wij hebben een paar leuke dagen gehad in Buxton en The Peak District, jammer dat het weer wat tegenzat, reden te meer om in de toekomst nog eens terug te komen.
