Sleeps 10-12. Gracious, newly built character home in stunning semi-rural setting, near Cranleigh in the Surrey Hills, GU6. 20 mins drive to Guilldford town centre. Spacious (approx. 3000 278 sq.m), 3-storey, detached 6 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom house with large (125') back garden overlooking scenic Hascombe Hill, in the beautiful Surrey Hills, deemed an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty".

The property is a few minutes’ drive to Cranleigh, the largest village in England and 8 miles/13 kms southeast of Guildford, or approximately 20 minutes’ drive from historic and scenic Guildford. From Guildford, you can catch a train into London Waterloo with a journey time of approx. 40 minutes.

6 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, so perfect for groups or families who wish to spend some time exploring London, but also the rest of the South East, as it is easy to reach all the major motorways - without the hassle of London traffic.

Known as 'England's largest village', Cranleigh lies in the scenic Surrey Hills, close to the West Sussex border. The smaller villages around it include Alfold, Bramley, Ewhurst and Shamley Green. The Cranleigh Show is a popular annual agricultural event, while Wings & Wheels takes place every year at nearby Dunsfold Park. Cranleigh has a large Sainsbury’s grocery store, Mann’s department store, a few restaurants and eateries and many independent shops.

In Guildford, there are many shops and amenities, including theatre, cinema, many restaurants, coffee shops, various grocery stores and many high street and independent shops. Its cobblestone streets, riverside location and fine views make it a much sought after shopping, dining and recreation destination.

The house sleeps up to 12 in total. Sleeps 9 on 1 superking, 1 king, 3 single beds (including a set of bunkbeds), and another superking (or 2 singles), 3 additional single beds can be provided (or a double/queen and a single), for a total of 12. Has 4 bathrooms (3 with bath/showers and 1 WC on the ground floor). Perfect for groups or families travelling together combining exploring the beautiful English countryside with visits to London and other nearby attractions, yet having some space to spread out and comfortably relax together for 'down time'.

Ground floor

From the front door, there is a spacious hallway area leading into all the ground floor living areas, including a playroom area kitted out with a large TV, large sofa and big bright windows – perfect for the kids to hang out in. The hall also leads into a large open plan kitchen, dining and lounge/living room, all facing out onto the south-westerly facing garden overlooking the beautiful Hascombe Hill.

The large designer kitchen is in a stunning French grey colour and features stainless steel (mainly Smeg) appliances, granite countertops, and a large kitchen island seating 4-6 comfortably. The kitchen opens onto a lovely garden room perfect for pre-dinner drinks. In the event of chilly temps, the garden room has ample radiator heating and also underfloor heating.

The kitchen also leads onto an open plan and sociable dining area with seating for up to 8 with a wood burning stove.

The adjacent large living room/lounge features sliding French-style patio doors to a wooden deck overlooking garden where you can recline into the comfy sofa seating and eating area.

Also on the ground floor is side door leading into a utility area with washer and vented tumble dryer. There is a loo on the ground floor.

1st floor

Four bedrooms – large master with luxury ensuite spa-style bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and walk-in shower, double sink/vanity. Master bedroom has a king-sized bed with memory foam, and a flat-screen television (with Freeview). There are 3 further very large double bedrooms on this floor – one with a single (McLaren) ‘racing car’ bed, one with a bunk bed and another room with a king sized bed. All the bedrooms upstairs have hanging and drawer space and a luxury finish. The ‘family’ bathroom has a Jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower and a double sink vanity unit.

Top floor

The top floor features two loft-style bedrooms including one large room with two single beds (which can be combined for a super-king-sized bed), and another double bedroom which can be set up with another single, or double/queen if needed.

There is a spacious bathroom on this floor with a bathtub.


There is ample room to park 3-4 vehicles in the front driveway. The back garden is large (125’x40’), private and totally enclosed so no need to worry about little ones wandering off the property. There is also a 12 foot trampoline with side guards, playhouse and a slide.

For the grownups, there is dining seating for 6 with a large gas bbq, as well as a comfy sofa-seating and eating area on the deck with seating for 6, electric patio heater and a cantilever parasol.

Large, fully-equipped kitchen with stainless steel Samsung fridge/freezer with built-in icemaker, stainless steel Smeg range cooker/oven with 5 burners and two ovens, integrated dishwasher, built-in microwave, kettle, 4-slice toaster, blender, cafetieres. There is also a built-in wine fridge in the large kitchen island and seating for 4-6 on bar stools. The kitchen is fully stocked to make and serve even the most elaborate of meals with lots of glasses, crockery, cooking utensils and serving ware.

There is also a separate utility area with a sink, washer, vented tumble dryer, drying rail, hoover, mop/bucket and the basic cleaning supplies you may need.

Dining / Lounge / Garden Room / Playroom

The ground floor living area is largely open plan with the kitchen leading to the dining area leading to the lounge/living room, all overlooking the garden. The dining area features a set of French-style sliding patio doors and a wood burning stove with traditional stone surround. The dining table seats 6-8.

The lounge/reception area also features French-style sliding patio doors to garden and has a gas fireplace with a built-in shelving area flanked by two large floor to ceiling windows and has two three-seater sofas, 2 chairs, rocking chair, coffee table, 50" flat-screen television, Sky, WI-FI and DAB i-pod dock.

The garden room is off the kitchen and is the perfect spot for pre-dinner drinks whenever the weather dictates an indoor meal. There are doors from the conservatory onto the deck in the garden. The garden room is heated by central heating and also has underfloor heating.

The playroom is the perfect hangout for kids of all ages with a large-screen TV with Sky, lots of movies and an extra-long sofa to kick back on. There is also a large table with seating for 4 – perfect for arts and crafts and a spot of internet surfing.

Towels and linens are included. For stays of 2 or more weeks, an interim clean can be provided at a cost of £50. A reservation/security deposit of £300 is required which will be returned within 14 days of vacating the property.

Very child-friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

We were a party of 7 adults plus 4 children under 4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this modern large family home. We were totally surprised by the quantity of toys, books and equipment for children both in the house and the garden as the Online information had not mentioned this at all. The weather was generally very good for our stay and the children had great fun in the garden on the slide, in the play house and of course on the large trampoline! Whilst the adults could enjoy relaxing on the settees on the decking.

Location was also very good for a number of woodland walks just short car journeys away.

Our reason for staying was a family wedding in Surrey and to have a holiday together prior to one daughter and family going abroad for 3 years, the house and facilities added to a wonderful week which altogether exceeded our expectations.

We lived in London for many years but with the arrival of the kids, we decided to make a move outside the capital for a little more breathing space. We were originally drawn to the Surrey Hills because of the amazing schools but quickly came to love living the country lifestyle - mostly the walks, the people, the pubs!
