Our Villa is located on the fringes of Cerro Azul Resort, Nr. Olhão and Moncarapacho in the sunny Eastern Algarve region of Portugal.

Located in a beautiful and traditional unspoilt countryside location within 10-15 mins drive to some of the best Golf courses, white sandy Beaches and stunning Restaurants serving some of the best local and international cuisine.

"Monte Vista" is a beautiful spacious luxury family villa, with 4 large bedrooms and 3 luxury bathrooms (2 en-suite), which comfortably sleeps up to 10 people.

Purpose designed & built to perfection for two families with 4 kids!

There is air conditioning in all of the rooms to allow a good nights sleep and free Wi-Fi for those who must post their epic dive on Instagram or show off their tan on Facebook.

It has a private and luxurious 10m x 5m South facing Infinity pool with a constant depth of 1.2m overall, giving maximum sun exposure from sunrise to sunset.

Encompassed within 1.5 acres of private natural gardens with 1.8m high hand-built traditional stone walls to keep you secluded and the paparazzi at bay.

The pool terrace is fully furnished and expansive with purpose built BBQ area and external dining area, and is fully equipped with sun-beds and separate relaxation sofas for the cheeky Bombay and tonic or three with a slice of lemon hand picked from your very own trees within the grounds

There is plenty of things to keep you and the kids entertained with the infinity pool and 12 person spa for the closest of friends, pool table, dart board and artificial games lawn for the energetic amongst you for ball sports such as volleyball, tennis, football and bowls.

Enough fun for everyone of all ages, whether your their to relax with a book in the shade under the canopy of the ancient trees or to enjoy the remoteness and make as much noise as you like.

This is due to the secluded location with no neighbours overlooking you as there are only five properties in the surrounding vicinity.

The villa is gated with lots of off road parking for up to eight vehicles and boats and has a local shop for milk, bread and bottle or two of red for the daily essentials within 500 yards and a three minute walk.

Locate just on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Moncarapacho for steak cooked over volcanic stone at Colibris or the best chicken Peri Peri in Olhao.

The villa is centrally located between both towns and within a short five minute drive and is host to numerous other wonderful restaurants and bars.

Olhao is famous as the main fishing marina for the Algarve and the fish market supplies fish to the whole of the Algarves restaurants so you cant get fresher as its travelled all of forty feet from the shore to your plate!

Many unspoilt white sandy beaches stretch for miles in the protected Ria Formosa and the Local beach at Fuseta is reported to be the best beach in the whole of the Algarve and the Telegraph reports Tavira beach as the fourth best in the whole of Europe!

For the golfers amongst you, you are centrally located between 42 of the Algarves best golf courses and all are within a thirty minute drive, including Monte Rei, San Lorenzo, Oceanico and Quinta do Lago, the algarves top five golf course which are rated as some of the best in Europe are all on your doorstep.

Why not come and enjoy all the unspoilt Eastern Algarve has to offer with lovely countryside, empty white sand beaches, low prices with no looky-looky men allowing you de-stress in seconds upon arrival !!!!

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Fuseta with its wonderful lagoon beach is only 5 miles away with ferry boats to wonderful unspoilt beaches & islands. There are boats from Olhao, Cabanas and Tavira which take you to wonderful deserted island beaches. Tavira beach island has been voted 4th best beach in Europe! (Telegraph June 2005).

The bigger, noisier Central Algarve beaches, water parks & go karting, etc, attractions are only 30 mins drive away, if that is your wish. Then you can return to the peace and tranquillity of the villa!

Travel:

Car hire essential to enjoy the villa and allow you to explore the area to its fullest.

Faro airport is approximately 20 - 25 mins drive away via the N125 coast road or the newly built A22 Motorway. We are located at the foot of San Miguel mountain which is easily recognised from the tall antenna masts and is noted as the highest mountain in the Algarve region.

Distances:

Within easy distance are Tavira (regarded as the loveliest town in the Algarve), Estoi (with its Rococo palace and Roman ruins), Olhao (fishing port), Fresh fruit, veg and fish markets, wonderful restaurants and of course Faro with its fine shopping malls and walled city.

The nearby Ria Formosa National Park offers excellent walks, extensive beaches and birdwatching.

Further Details:

The small town of Moncarapacho is approximately 2-3 miles away with supermarkets, bars, restaurants, petrol station, internet cafe, cash machines, pharmacy, dentist, bank, post office, etc. There are numerous bar/bistro restaurants there which are all within 5 minute drive for wonderful lazy lunches at 6 Euros a head & you will find it difficult to spend 15 euros per person per night including your drinks, try doing that In Vilamoura or Vale do Lobo!

Come and enjoy many aspects of the unspoilt Eastern Algarve. Fish, meat, beers and wine are plentiful and all low cost............why you would want to go any where else?

About the Owner

We were a regular visitor to the Algarve region before we had kids which made a nice escape from our busy lives in London & Essex.

With the addition of Keira & Ella we new it would be a good place to have a second residence for family holidays so we looked in 2008 to find a suitable plot to build our dream villa.

Sean's been in construction since school and now runs his own successful development company and designs & build luxury indoor swimming pools and basements for the rich and famous in town and I spent many years in the city before having the children and now work within the family business.

We spent a week in May at the property and enjoyed great weather and a thoroughly relaxing time. The villa was spectacular and just like a home from home. Everything that you could possibly want was there, including a double oven, dishwasher washing machine and a large outside barbecue. All the pots and pans etc were there even some big glasses to sample the local vino which was plentiful and reasonably priced. The location was very quiet and we were able to make as much noise as we wanted, without upsetting anyone. The pool is right outside the patio doors and we loved the fact that it is the same depth with no scary deep end, great for mucking around with the kids. Glad that we hired a car as you really need one to get around, even though the main shopping at Oliao and Faro was only a short drive away. There are lots of great restaurants nearby (we particularly liked Colibri for their Steak on a stone at 12 Euro's) and to be honest we found it cheaper to eat out than cook for ourselves. Loved the Saturday market at Oliao, great fresh fish, meat, fruit and veg. Thoroughly recommended and will certainly try and return again.

Fantastic!

We stayed at Monte Vista villa for one week mid October, we went as a family consisting of 6 adults and four children and we all loved it!!!

We were met at the villa by Tetiyana who was very welcoming and showed us around the villa and was able to answer any questions we had .

The villa had everything we wanted and more. Couldn't keep the kids out of the pool and some of the adults too. The grounds were great for running around or would that be running after the wee ones, loads of room and a great feeling of security and privacy.

Inside was great for chilling after a meal and winding down with a glass or two of wine or a large dram or 3 in the very spacious living room after a fab day exploring the surrounding areas.

The villa is a away from the hustle a bustle so a car is a must, although if you are just after relaxation you dont really need to leave. Moncarapacho less than 10 mins away with supermarket and a couple of restaurants, would highly recommend Colibris and anntonios both were fantastic and great value.

Definitely hope to come back, and would not need to look any further than Monte Vista!

Neads a lot of TLC

This is a lovely villa but desperately needs things renewing.

Downstairs bedroom bed needs changing you can feel every spring in your body.

Upstairs double bedroom bed has broken slatts

Some patio furniture needs renewing every shabby

Seal around patio doors hanging off

In the present state value for money it was not.if I paid £1500.00 to stay in a hotel I would expect the beds to be of a better standard

Also the OXO on the children's play house has sharp edges had to keep the children away from this

OH yes and the villa was not ready at 4pm

But we made the best of our holiday great location a car a must

Owner's Response: I am sorry you had thought you had these problems to which none was reported to the management team, but I can assure you this house was left like new in June this year. I have received photographic evidence of foot prints running all over the double beds which in turn seems likely to have damaged/broken the beds, if you would like to see I have forwarded these to owners direct and they are happy to send onto you if you wish. As for the OXO being sharp on the play-centre this can only be through sun damage and if reported then my team would have sorted for you so that this was not an issue. I am sorry that the outside furniture has worn slightly but this was new at the beginning of the season and is solely due to sun damage being left out all the time. I spoke to the management team and they told me you turned up at 3.30pm to which they showed you around then that delayed them till 4.15pm.

Beautiful villa

Stayed here with 5 kids and 4 adults- fantastic villa and both the owner and her team in Moncarparcho were great- couldn't have asked for better service. My only note would be you should not visit here without a car- essential! Nothing nearby and quite remote. Local amenities and nearest beach about 20 minute drive. Tavira is about 45 minutes in the car. However if you come with this in mind you will not be disappointed! The villa and facilities are fantastic & we had an amazing break. Thank you!

Gorgeous Villa.

A luxurious property with everything you need in a villa

A spacious villa with plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out. We enjoyed the pool and patio very much indeed. Our only disappointment was that there wasn't anywhere to walk to, a car is definitely a must.

We found the plot and new we could deliver something special here. Remote enough to be away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to be a short drive to anywhere. The location is peaceful and private, but will allow you to be as noisy as you want which I can assure you our kids are experts at believe me! We designed and built the villa in 2008 with the brief of allowing two families to co-habit with ease, which made perfect sense for us as we often holiday with friends or family. The villa design is perfect in this scenario and allowed the reduced cost for future rental use to be met as the rental cost could be split between two families.

From the Owner

As we designed and built the villa it was purpose built to be traditional on the outside but with a modern and contemporary interior. We knew the way we would want to use it so we included the large 10m Infinity pool with 12 person spa and kiddies pool which is very unique with cascades and jumping jets the kids simply love it. This allows the whole family to use the pool which has a constant depth of 1.2m all over, relax in the spa or for those with small children we have built the separate kiddies pool which is like a bath in the wonderful Algarvian sun. The villa sits in large expansive natural grounds within the unspoilt location and a 1.8m high hand-built traditional stone wall surrounds the property to keep the family villa and grounds completely secluded & private. We have a large entertaining terrace and artificial grass lawn for activities & sports as well as areas of natural garden for relaxation as the site is so large. This allows you to entertain very comfortably and the whole place was designed for family fun and entertaining.
