A self-catered chalet. 4 bedrooms, with WiFi ~ hot tub ~ garden

The chalet is a great choice for groups or families, who want to have easy access to ski the whole Chamonix Valley and still be within walking distance to the town centre. It has a large living area, ensuite rooms with double or single beds, views to the Mont Blanc and Brevent chains and an outdoors Jacuzzi.

Chalet les Islouts is a spacious, yet cosy 4 bedroom chalet sleeping up to 8 people, located in a quiet area near the Gaillands lake, adventure park and woodlands, yet with amazing transport links to easily access the whole of the Chamonix valley and a 20 minute flat walk to Chamonix town.

This chalet is constructed in traditional Savoyarde style, with leather sofas, a wealth of wooden beams and a charming open fireplace constructed by a local craftsman in stone and wood.

The three ensuite bedrooms are of similar size and each have access to a balcony and enjoy stunning views either to the Brevent and Le Aiguillette or the Aiguille de Midi and the Bossons Glacier. Each bedroom has built in wardrobes, TVs and DVD players and has the flexibility of either twin or king sized beds. Each ensuite bathroom has a washbasin and toilet. Two of these have good sized showers, with the third bathroom having a double ended bath (no tap end!) with overhead shower. On the lower floor of the chalet is a fourth bedroom with bunk beds.

The main living area of the house is open plan, with lots of natural light. There are three sets of patio doors leading to a large, wrap around terrace complete with Jacuzzi hot tub and magnificent mountain views of the Mont Blanc Massif. There is a fully equipped kitchen with large Miele fridge freezer, oven and microwave and Bosch dishwasher, a dining area for 10 and a lounge area with surround sound system, TV and DVD player. This floor includes a small office area and a guest toilet with washbasin. Downstairs there is a utility area complete with Bosch washing machine and separate tumble-dryer, and the lower ground floor also includes a ski and boot room with boot drier, which can also be accessed directly from outside via the double garage and finally, there is a table tennis table. The chalet benefits from free wifi.

To advise - the property management company will take a card authorisation on arrival as the caution damage deposit for this property.

Our recommendation is that you fly to Geneva airport it is only 50 miles to Chamonix and takes little more than an hour. You may choose to hire a car or we can arrange a transfer for you. You may choose to travel by train or public bus from the airport although the journey takes much longer.

Chamonix is best known for its extreme skiing, climbing, high mountain hiking and mountain biking. This busy alpine village is extremely popular in the winter and summer seasons with tourists clambering for a glimpse of Mont Blanc. Chamonix has all the facilities of a town with a great variety of shops, restaurants and bars, cinema, museums, sports centre, ice-skating, tennis, squash, swimming pools and 18 hole golf course.

Golf: The golf course in the Chamonix valley has a high standard with excellent facilities. It is situated next to the village of Les Praz. Constructed in 1934, originally with 4 holes, it was officially opened on the 20 July 1935 with 9 holes completed. It was only in 1972 the council decided on a further 9 holes. So 10 years later, on the 26 September 1982 it was relaunched with 18 holes. A technical course designed by the prestigious architect Robert Trent Jones Senior, who knew how to make the most of the environment. The course is notable for the its numerous obstacles and raised greens. There is a driving range of 29 bays of which 14 are covered, 2 training greens and 2 bunkers.
